Supertramp was the late Princess Di's FAVORITE GROUP, not those 80s Backstreet Boy equivalents Duran Duran. Supertramp songs like Bloody Well Right, The Logical Song, Give a Little Bit and It's Raining Again are real classic songs. To see dumbkuffs trash Supertramp is like someone disgracing my friends The Tijuan-an, those Mexican Frogs. This Supertramp is a good starter but go with Retrospectacle or I'll give you a GOTCHA!Free Music Review: Definately a best of compilation

Supertramp happen to be amongst my favourite groups and are like immensely in 2006 as they were in the eighties.This contains most of their big hits like THE LOGICAL SONG,BREAKFAST IN AMERICA and TAKE THE LONG WAY HOME.No collection will be complete without this jewel.five stars.Free Music Review: Not as comprehensive as Retrospectacle but still good for casual Supertramp fans

The Very Best of Supertramp was released in December of 2001.
The album was originally released in 1987 as Supertramp Classics as part of A&M's 25th Anniversary series.
That collection had 14 songs(Goodbye Stranger, The Logical Song,
Bloody Well Right, Breakfast In America, Rudy, Take The Long Way Home, Crime Of The Century, Dreamer, Ain't Nobody But Me, Hide In Your Shell, From Now On, Give A Little Bit, It's Raining Again and Cannonball) but somehat shoddy mastering and Goodbye Stranger, The Logical Song, Take the Long Way Home and Cannonball were all edited.
On this reissued version of Supertramp Classics with a new title, The Very Best of Supertramp, you get the full album versions of those tracks(at least on the US pressings of The Very Best of Supertramp) plus the song School is added and is the new opening track of this compilation.
Some griped that songs from Even in the Quietest Moments, Crisis What Crisis and Famous Last Words were left off for 3/4 of Crime and a good chunk of Breakfast in America but the new Retrospectacle 2-disc set covers everything up to 2002.
If you don't know where to start on Supertramp, this 15 song best of is a best bet but if you have the albums or Retrospectacle then don't bother.

Greatest Hits Vol. 2 also is available but runs dry of all familiar material presented here. If you would like to feel confident with your Supertramp collection or are a younger listener wondering how to condense group highpoints, this without question is the disc to get.
