In the great musical sixties The Supremes exploded on the scene in 1964 with instant classics like "Where Did Our Love Go?" & "Baby Love" and a legendary group was born continuing to top the charts with an awesome variety of mega-hits throughout the remainder of the sixties with lead singer Diana Ross, a great singer with a sound and style all her own so it was not surprising when a solo career was decided...early seventies with the fine & firey Jean Terrell at the helm, The Supremes continued in high style and hit it out of the park with their first 45 rpm Top Ten release "Up The Latter To The Roof" featured in this incredible 3-Disc Box Set and this rhythmic winner comes off as a spirited celebration plus a great new beginning for The Supremes! "Right On" is the first lp featured in a collection of 5 lp's and it is amazing that all of these sets contain zero filler and arrangements are first rate and The Supremes back Jean Terrell brilliantly with Mary & Cindy shining brightly. Jean Terrell was a great find as Diana's spot was a hard one to fill but Jean created a new and exciting group that would have gone to greater heights but didn't get full attention in the promotion department but thankfully did in the production end making this a must-have collection! Filled with hits like "Stoned Love" (incredible that Berry Gordy didn't want to release this!), "Everybody's Got The Right To Love", "Nathan Jones", "Floy Joy", "Automatically Sunshine" & awesome covers like a uniquely gorgeous "Bridge Over Troubled Water" & "Come Together" plus a great Jimmy Webb produced lp that is a lost classic and unreleased bonus gems like "I Ain't That Easy To Lose" and the sublime "And I Thought You Loved Me" make for a treasure chest filled with musical treats featuring sound that is superb & lively and a beautifully illustrated book which makes for fascinating reading...important & essential collector's fantasy from a legendary group! Bravo to Jean, Mary & Cindy...you ladies are the greatest!!!
