Free Music Review: Beautiful bedtime music

We play Lullaby Themes for every nap wind down and bedtime wind down for my 7 month old son. It's a lovely collection, and performed beautifully, and I still enjoy listening to it every day even though we have been playing it 4 times a day since he was a few months old (which says a lot). I wanted to be generous, so gave this four stars instead of three, because I did enjoy the album but found her voice to be altogether too high pitched and sharp for a lullaby and at times her voice could have the effect of jolting one awake rather than lulling one to sleep. The best lullaby album by far that I've heard is called "Lullaby Baby. Soothing Vocal Lullabies" and is a Fisher Price cd. Also although not being sold as a lullaby album, I nevertheless found Scarlett Johansson's album entitled "Anywhere I Lay My Head" to be extremely relaxing and soothing to listen to, as her voice is beautifully deep and mellow and I'd love to hear her do an album of lullabies, which she has probably never considered, but maybe she will see this and think about it. ;-)

I must have listened to this album 50 times and I never tired of it (no pun intended). Every song is beautifully done. Some lullaby cd's we tried would eventually do the job for my infant daughter, but would leave me wanting to get out of the nursery ASAP. Susie Tallman's songs let me enjoy the experience of rocking my baby to sleep, even when she was fussy. I will buy this album for every new parent I know with a discerning ear for great music.Free Music Review: Not the worst I've heard
