Free Music Notes for Learning to Breathe

Free Music Review: In love already...
Hit: 5 Stars

My name is Beth, I'm 14, and I absolutely LOVE this cd. I have been wanting this cd for over 4 months. Today, I finally got it! I know already that's it's going to be one of those cd that's all scratched up from numerous usage! LOL!
The vocals are so... AMAZING! I can just sit there and listen to "Learning to Breathe" (the song) and "I Dare you to Move" forever. I bought the cd just because of that song. But, I will tell you this, the rest of the cd was not a disappointment. A lot of the songs I had heard already because the movie "A Walk to Remember" has four songs of thiers in it.
I also like this cd because it appeals to all ages. I bought it and immediately put it into the car cd player. My mom was very hesitant to listen to it because she thought past Switchfoot cd's were a lot of rock. When it started playing I found my mom smiling and trying to pick up on the lyrics to sing along. It was a good, "I told you so" moment. tee hee hee.
I just can not express how extrememly incredible this cd is, all I can do is write this review and urge you to purchase it. It is well worth the money. You will NOT be dissappointed.

Free Music Review: SWITCHFOOT'S BEST
Hit: 5 Stars

Although every album Switchfoot releases shows extreme talent, focus, and beautiful song-writing, none expresses these points more than "Learning to Breathe." Jonathan foreman, guitar player and lead singer for the band, prides himself on variety in his music...and if this is so, this record would have to be his pride and joy. We go from the driving beats and alive guitars of "You Already Take Me There" to the thought-provoking and smooth "Economy of Mercy". Switchfoot also couldn't help putting in a couple of catchy songs either, such as "The Loser", a should-be top forty hit that sings to the "burn-out kid" in all of us. Not only that, but such tracks as "Learning to Breathe", "Dare You To Move" and "Innocence Again" are sure-firer pleasers and Switchfoot classics. While lately Switchfoot has been pumping out more rockish, alternative, progressive music, "Learning to Breathe" is more accessible to stubborn pop fans, and maybe even some hardcore-hardcore fans as well.
While none of Switchfoot's albums are stand-still and dull, "Learning to Breathe" is so far their best. Any Switchfoot fan, or aspiring Switchfoot fan should own it. Or even anyone who's just a fan of great music.

Free Music Review: Amazing!
Hit: 5 Stars

I first heard Switchfoot at an outdoor all-day concert in Texas and I gotta say I wasn't a fan. This was when their newest was "New Way to Be Human" and the songs on there were a little less than okay.
Cut to, I'm listening to the radio and hear "Love Is A Movement" and I HAVE TO KNOW who that is. When I found out it was Switchfoot I ran out to buy the CD. The songs are nothing short of amazing and for a young soul-searching band their songs are incredibly moving and thought provoking not to mention the vocals practically carry you away. "Dare You to Move" is one of my favorite songs of all time because it's satisfying in every way. The melody is just beautiful, the lysrics are so heart-felt and in-depth that they give you goosebumps, and the vocals in the chorus are the best I've heard. And like I said before "Love is the Movement" is a great song. It's probably my favorite on the CD.
This band is still young but on the verge of greatness and this CD has sent them from teatering on the edge to comfortably in a place of reverence. If you're looking for a great CD collection this CD is a must-have.

Free Music Review: this cd is awesome!!!!!!!!
Hit: 5 Stars

first of all, all the songs are great. you can listen to them over and over and not get sick of them. the lyrics are just plain amazing, and they actually mean something. It does not matter what type of music you like, because you can like ROCK, POP or CHRISTIAN and like this cd. I am going to break it down, and review each song. #1 I DARE YOU TO MOVE: a great song that never gets old, this song contains amazing vocals by jon foreman. #2 LEARNING TO BREATHE: 2nd best song on the cd. amazing lyrics. #3 YOU ALREADY TAKE ME THERE: best song on the cd. the rockiest sond on the cd, with a great chorus. #4 LOVE IS THE MOVEMENT: a pretty good song, but i do not like the chorus very much. #5 POPARAZZI: a fun song with cool lyrics. #6 INNOCENCE AGAIN: I am not a fan of this song but you could like it. #7 PLAYING FOR KEEPS: One of my favorites. a great song. #8 THE LOSER: another fun song. a good song too. #9 THE ECONOMY OF MERCY:a very nice song, with lyrics that will move you. #10 EROSION: DO NOT HAVE MUCH TO SAY. #11 LIVING IS SIMPLE:nice song. a good ending to the cd.

Free Music Review: Holding My Breath!
Hit: 5 Stars

I still remember hearing the single "Learning to Breath" and wondering: Who is this? This is great music. It took me a while to discover the artist, and I instantly added the album to my wish list. I wasn't disappointed.

Switchfoot's first two albums are great, but this one moves a step farther toward a perfect blend of rock sensibility, moving and thoughtful lyrics, occasional wit, and stirring creativity. Sitting on the sofa, my wife and I wrestled through the cellophane and dropped in the CD for the first time last week. We were blown away. No, this doesn't have quite the reckless energy of their first album, or quite the biting satire of the second--this one blends it all. Some may be disappointed, but we found ourselves smiling.

This is great music. This is music that'll make regular rotations through my CD player. This is music that grows on you.

I waited with bated breath for this album; I'll be holding my breath for the next. In a world of has-beens and wannabes, Switchfoot continues to rise above the crowd.
