Free Music Notes for Learning to BreatheFree Music Review: My Favorite CD!!!!!!!! Hit: 5 Stars
This is my favorite CD!!!! I bought it after reading about it in a brio magazine. They said it might just become your new favorite cd, and were they ever right! I buy most cds for a song i'd heard on the radio that i like, and after listening to it a couple times i like most of the songs. I took a risk on this because i had never heard any of switchfoot before, but after only listening to it once and reading the amazing lyrics, i was glad i took it! The words are great, they really make you think, and the beats are catchy and stick in your head all day. My advice is: BUY IT BUY IT BUY IT!!!!! If you don't like it at first, listen to it a couple more times while reading the lyrics, believe me, it will grow on you!!! My favorite songs were 1,2,4,5,6,7,and 10. But, heck, they were all great! Don't waste any time and order it now, and make room for it on your cd rack, you won't regret it!
Free Music Review: Absolutely Wonderful! Hit: 5 Stars
The hits just keep coming from switchfoot! Even on their 3rd album they are remarkable. I loved this cd because it made me think of what is going on in the world today and gave me hope because i can help to make it better. The music is just incredable and all the tunes ring in my head all day!I love how this band has so much insight to what is going on in the world ("love is the movement") and wants to change it for the better. But fun songs like "Poparazzi" are just what I need to get me going for the day! "I dare you to move" reminds us to live the day to its extreme and take chances. But what is really cool is that while jamming and rocking out in the car you can also be worshiping God and learning more about him as well. This is definally a cd for the person who loves music or just likes to rock!
Free Music Review: Switchfoot Rocks Hit: 5 Stars
Switchfoot is one of the most talented Christian Rock artists playing today. They have killer guitar parts from Jon Foreman (who was one of five finalists for most aspiring guitarist in the world), excellent base additions from Tim Foreman, and a very creative drummer in Chad Butler. Not only is the music top quality but the lyrics are very powerful moving and motivating. They challenge you step out of the crowd and live the way God meant humans to live with a firm grasp of their creator and their place in this secular world we live in. They are a continuing inspiration to me in my Christian walk. If they come to your city, they are a must see. The live concert is very charged and fun for them and the crowd. For a more in-depth explanation of every song the band members talk about each song on the album at their website.
Free Music Review: Good Clean Fun Hit: 5 Stars
If I could think of just three words to describe Switchfoot, it would be just that. Besides being incredibly AWESOME guys, Jon, Chad, and Tim have yet again proved themselves to be AWESOME musicians. "Learning to Breathe" is a unique and catchy album that is hard to resist. The journey from track one, "I Dare You to Move" to the final cut, "Living is Simple", is full of non-stop action-packed music. The thing that amazes me about every single one of Switchfoot's CDs, is that the style is never the same through each song.. which for musicians, like myself, is inspiring. Speaking of inspiration, the lyrics, written by none other than jon himself, are full of depth, sincerity, and at all times ("Poparazzi") incredible relativity. This CD is a must!!
Free Music Review: Learning to Breathe... is awesome! Hit: 5 Stars
This CD rules, it's definitely different than Legend of Chin and New Way to be Human, but in a spiffy way. Fans of Switchfoot will not be disappointed! I almost expected not to like it, just because I figured it would be 'different'. But I was blown away. Switchfoot comes back in full force with realistic sing-along-able lyrics, great tunes, and very creative musical feats -- they have turned many 'normal' instrument sounds into catchy little sounds that don't detract from the music at all! My favorite songs are the title track, Poparrazi, Innocence Again, Playing for Keeps, and Erosion. And don't forget to pop the CD into your computer, it includes the *sweet* music videos (in almost-DVD quality) for New Way to be Human and Chem6A. Learning to Breathe is five stars!
