I enjoyed Switchfoot's previous CD (Beautiful Let Down) so decided to get the new one. This new one maintains the style and personality of the previous, while going a step further to discover what else they can do. As for the themes, the band continues in the same vein with a passion and conviction that speak of personal struggle and self reflection. And they accomplish all of this within the mix of catchy, energetic beats and slower more thoughtful melodies. If you liked what they did with Beautiful Let Down, you won't be disappointed with this one. Free Music Review: Could be the best band on earth.

They may be a christian rock band but Switchfoot has never tried to convince anyone to become christians or anything. I love that a lot of their songs can be interpreted into everyday real life situations, or sometimes a love song. This new album is no different. I purchased it on Feb 7 at their concert in Swansea, Wales, UK. If you had loved all their previous albums, you will definitely love this too. I think this is a very consistent work effort from Switchfoot and I am very impressed at how they keep coming up with such great stuff! I have all their albums and I can see growth difference from every last album to their latest album. Every single track is golden, some tracks take some time to sink into your head but there's no denying that "Oh gravity" is an instant winner. I especially loved the random piano bits played at the end of the chorus. Another of my favourites which I find myself listening to again and again is "Faust Midas & Myself" which tells another one of Foreman's moral derived tales turned good. "Awakening", "Burn Out Bright" & "American Dreams" are more or less the easier tracks to fall in love with as well! So enjoy fellow Switchfooters! I can never understand how people can think this is crap. If this album is crap to you, I just think that maybe you just aren't that deep at all. :-) Free Music Review: Candy for my ears!

I can't get enough of this cd - i love this band. Each new album reaches out in more directions, and is filled with tons of energy. These new songs span many different avenues, and they really pump up my soul!Free Music Review: Love this CD

My daughter and I are huge Switchfoot fans. We have all their CD's. We are enjoying this one as much as the others! Great music, meaningful lyrics and no bad stuff.
