Free Music Review: A great tribute for Syd Barrett Hit: 5 Stars
Wouldnt you miss me is a great collection of songs from Syds solo discs. i like all the songs. Syds vocals are understandable and the music is good Rick Wrights solo on love song is beautiful Syd was a good guitarist the producers including Roger Waters and Dave Gilmour did great i like them even more for their helping Syd. The booklet answers most of the questions and gives a good insight. If you like Piper and Jugband blues you should like these songs to.
Free Music Review: Have to buy this album Hit: 5 Stars
This is a fantastic compilation. Syd is definitely a genious; the music, the lyrics, the musical ambience, everything. Even if you own 'The Madcap Laughs', 'Barret' and 'Opel', it's worth buying it because of the track 'Bob Dylan Blues'. That song was kept hidden by Gilmour for so many years, and now it's finally available. If you are a Barrett fan, the you should buy this. If you're not, after listening to this CD, you're gonna be.
Free Music Review: Good wood Hit: 5 Stars
What a truely maximum feast, a flooded fullhouse of tearful ejaculatory weeping. I love the garganic monologues and nature drowned mantra's Very turbulant listening, a shell of beutific intent, almost paradoxically quixotic. Embulliant in its minds eye shifting, a veritable fluistic pallete of scarred bright heat and incongrous frailty..... A Must buy!
Free Music Review: A Great Introduction the Madcap Genius Hit: 5 Stars
This compilation is excellent, this is only the solo Syd, no singles from his days in Pink Floyd like See Emily Play and Arnold Layne. This is the best of his solo material though, all neatly packaged with excellent liner notes and rare photos of Syd. I reccomend this hard to find in stores cd to anybody looking to get into the madcap and his excellent music.
