first of all, if you do not like this album, i want you to leave this page right now. this is the bst metal album in history. i care so much about people thinking good about this album, i'm gonna write reviews for all 16 tracks. watch dis.1 chick 'n' stu - sings really fast. still a good track with a good beat. 10/10 - 2:23
2 inner vision - the hit song on the radio right now. i do have to admit that i loven this track. 10/10 - 2:33
3 bubbles - sings fast, too, just like chick 'n' stu. wish it was longer. 10/10 - 1:56
4 boom - da song's gotta good message. i like it, especially when he says "money is the name of the game, nobody gives a f**k". 3rd best song. 10/10 - 2:14
5 nuguns - a good beginning guitar riff. a good song in all. 9/10 - 2:30
6 A.D.D. - everything's good about the beat, the lyrics, the message, and the whole freakin' think except that they say f**k 6 times. 4th best song. - 10/10 - 3:17
7 mr. jack - BEST SONG! i am so glad that this song is 4:09 long! the longest song on the whole d**n album! - 15/10 - 4:09
8 i-e-a-i-a-i-o - 2nd best song. serj sings even faster in this one - 10/10 - 3:08
9 36 - too short. it's okay. - 6/10 - 0:46 (geez)
10 pictures - a fast song. a good song. i like it. alot. - 10/10 - 2:06
11 highway song - a good song. i'm getting sick of all the short songs on here. - 8/10 - 3:13
12 f**k the system - a good song. butcha you can't hear a word Serj's saying. - 9/10 - 2:12
13 ego brain - an okay song. not one of the favorites though. i don't pay much attention to this one - 8/10 - 3:21
14 thetawaves - i usually skip this one too. it's okay, though. - 8/10 - 2:36
15 roulette - thanks for the calm down! you needed to! geez! a great acoustic track! - 10/10 - 3:21
16 streamlime - an okay closing track. i like this one. you get burned out on it easily, though - 9/10
Free Music Review: One of the best Metal CD's I own!

This CD is the best of the SOAD Cd's, with a little more funk and upbeat tempos than Toxicity or the self-titled. I got it about a month ago and it is still in the 6-cd rotation of my car. I love the political lyrics too, they can really hit you if you happen to be in the right mood.1. Chic 'N' Stu: A fantastic opener, with really funny and interesting lyrics. A hilarious headbanger. 9/10
2. Innervision: The big radio single, catchy and easy to listen to. 8/10
3. Bubbles: Didn't like it at first, but then it really started to grow on me. 8/10
4. Boom!: Easily the most political song on the album, and I love it! Very catchy with cool time changes. 9/10
5. Nuguns: Will grow on you like Bubbles, and you can hear the middle eastern musical influences more on this track. 9/10
6. A.D.D.: One of the best songs on the album, very angry, and a tight musical background. 10/10
7. Mr. Jack: Tied with Streamline for the best song on the album. Incredible. You have to hear it to believe it. 10/10
8. IEAIAIO: Cool enough. Should be on the radio a lot more than it is. 8/10
9. 36: Pointless, really. 2/10
10. Pictures: Love the music and Daron's harmonizing. 7/10
11. Highway Song: Good, but not very memorable. 6/10
12. F**k the System: Like the Highway song, good, but not great. 7/10
13.Ego Brain: Very smooth, yet hard, and I love it. 9/10
14.Thetawaves: Essentially an intro to Roulette. 7/10
15. Roulette: Amazing song, easily one of the best and most listenable on the album. Wow. 10/10
16.Streamline: I can never decide between this and Mr. Jack as my favorite song, but this song is amazing in that it is mellow and hard, and there is a huge egyptian-middle eastern musical flavor to this song. Unbelievably good. 10/10
Free Music Review: BOOM!

System has definitely taken the political aggro-rock throne from RATM. I'm not sure if I like this or Toxicity better, but at this point in time Steal This Album! is definitely the most relevant.1) Chic 'N' Stu 4/5: Nice opener, funny lyrics but a bit repetitive.
2) Innervision 5/5: One of their best songs yet. Great drum beat and the lyrics are great.
3) Bubbles 4.5/5: Fast-paced and loud. Lyrics are good.
4) Boom! 5/5: Best anti-war song of recent vintage.
5) Nuguns 3.5/5: Not a bad song, but not their best either. Somewhat annoying.
6) A.D.D. 5/5: Right back to top-notch material. One of their better songs.
7) Mr. Jack 4/5: Just not fast enough for my taste, but it is a good song. Lyrics in particular.
8) I-E-A-I-A-I-O 4.5/5: Awesome, but .5 off because I'm not sure there's really a point to the song...
9) 36 1.5/5: Only good thing about this track is that if you think about it, this is their 36th track- 13 on SOAD and 14 on Toxicity = 27 tracks, this is the 9th on STA. Wonder if the band titled the song this on purpose?
10) Pictures 3.75/5: Good rhythm, just not crazy about the lyrics.
11) Highway Song 5/5: Best song on the CD. Terrific rhythm, great lyrics, and overall outstanding.
12) F**k the System 5/5: Fast, fast, fast, and loud, loud, loud! Lyrics are good.
13) Ego Brain 4.5/5: If it moved a bit faster it might be the best song on the CD. Great lyrics.
14) Thetawaves 4.5/5: Interesting sound to the song. Nice lyrics win brownie points.
15) Roulette 5/5: Beautiful lyrics and musicianship all around. Right up there with Highway Song.
16) Streamline 4/5: Overall a good song, problem is it doesn't really fit that well on the CD.
Free Music Review: Music of true talent.

Steal this Album does not have one song that would even be faintly noticeable as a 'B-side.' Now, although I thought their Sophomore release, 'Toxicity' was pretty good with some more than excellent songs on it and some really great vocals by one of Metal's greatest singer Serj Tankian, it was only the second half of that CD that was truly satisfying. I hated Prison Song, which is probably one of the worst songs I have ever heard in my life, and I also hated the next four songs that appeared there, which sounded more like a B-side or a should-have-been-rejected song. With Steal this Album, however, I can sit down and listen to the whole thing. Even the ridiculously nonsensical Chich'N'Stu sounds very good, billions upon billions of times better than the horrible 'Prison Song' off Toxicity. I am so shocked that the band didn't replace those first five songs with great songs like 'Streamline' or 'Mr. Jack.' System take on a more hard-core and seriously dark feel to it, addressing political issues, (As they always do, of course) and, all in all, just presenting good music. The only song that I was dissapointed in was 36, which was just way too short, about fifty seconds, if not shorter. Steal This Album goes back to the roots of S.O.A.D, and true fans that appreciate the L.A. four will be delighted with listening to it. the lyrics are great, of course, the drums are once again amazingly wild and magnificently done, the bass is just as entertaining as ever, and the screaming/melodic/haunting/sorrowful voice of Serj Tankian screaming his poetic words into the microphone is just as talented as the past two. I love this CD, as I do all the System CD's, and I savour it everytime I pop it into my CD player.Free Music Review: Stellar

this is the system of a down i missed on toxicity...it feels like an odd blend between the first two CDS... i didn't like this CDS my first time through unlike the first two...but it was worth a closer listen...track-
1- liked right away...a very solid blend of humor and insanity plus good colaberation between serj and every one else ( side note heheh i need spell check)
2-the vision is a little weak because of the bycicle bit...but it doesn't hinder the song enough to ruin it...it still felt good to listen too..
3-BUBLEs what can i say this was a fun fast and harmonious song
4-every thing except the line "death showers" had a good impact on me very enjoyable courus...every time you drop the bomb!
5-I liked NU guns very much dispite some of the harsh reviews...it feels kinda like needles or deer dance...softer and enjoyable
6-ADD not its not a ritalin song you.... sorry i got sidetracked the intro felt a little like darts...I liked it
7-ah mister jack..just listen throught the song the end is worth it
8-More pleasent insanity i like the song's akward flow
9-36 cannot be listened to alone it feels like the intro to a shortend epic..combine with pictures and higway and this part of the CD is mind blowing
...the system...reminds me of the humorous vulgar harmouny of the track JOHNNY from the promo cd that came with TOX great song
13ego brain feels good sounds good...I like the flow alot and the sound fx are stellar
