Free Music Review: It Really Grew on Me
Hit: 4 Stars

Being from the US, the only song I had heard from Take That was "Back for Good". I remember liking it a lot, but I wasn't prepared to buy the whole CD based on one song. However, 3 short yrs later, I am now a HUGE fan of Robbie Williams and didn't realize his connection to the group until I heard it mentioned on the radio. I'm not a big fan of boy bands, but out of curiosity of Robbie's past work, I decided to get this CD. At first, I only liked the 3 songs Robbie sang ("Everything Changes", "I Found Heaven", and "Could it Be Magic"), plus "Never Forget", "Sure" and "Back for Good". But the more I listen to it the more I like it. "Why Can't I..." is probably my favorite song now. It's definately the best as far as back up vocals are concerned. You can also see the progess the boys have made vocally through the different tracks. Before reading the CD notes you can pretty much guess which songs came first and then later in their career. The only reason I don't give it five stars, is because there are still several spots on the CD where voices are obviously straining to hit notes (even Robbie's), and I didn't know there was a silent "R" in the word, "Sure". Other that, the CD offers a great variety of styles and melodies and is a great listen for pure pop lovers.

Free Music Review: The best boyband of the 90's
Hit: 4 Stars

There were some not so good songs on Take That's albums but this greatest hits collection is excellent (though some of the earliest songs aren't that good). The best songs are the beautiful Back for Good and Never Forget which is co-produced by the great Jim Steinman. Ronan Keating of Boyzone is probably the best boyband singer but Gary Barlow of Take That is the best boyband songwriter.

Free Music Review: A boyband with essence
Hit: 3 Stars

During the five years that Take That were with us , we had the opportunity to enjoy some of the most well made , healthy pop songs of the 90's.Quitte a suprise offering from a group which had at least on the surface , all these ridiculous elements which made boybands so hard to take seriously in the first place : coxcomb photoshoots , ludicrus costumes for their live acts ,depthless dance singles as first releases. As years went by though , the melodies were obviously getting better and Gary Barlow's writting skill was fastly growing up.With their covers they gave new life to old hits such as How Deep Is Your Love , Relight My Fire and Could It Be Magick. U.S huge hit single Back For Good made them world wide known but actually Pray is the track you'll find yourself enjoying the most. It combines synchronised backing vocals with a sunny vibe and tender lyrics. It's true that the mellow Never Forget was a clumsy way to say goodbye but this is the first group which prooved that boybands can be something more than smiley posters and stupid video-clips with teenage girls clapping all around the place. The fact is that all the likes of Backstreet Boys and N'Sync will never be as fun as they once were.

Free Music Review: It's OK
Hit: 3 Stars

Why does Robbie slag off Take That and the music...it wasn't that bad. Most of the songs are good because they were different at the time.

Free Music Review: What floor?
Hit: 2 Stars

After listening to this album, I can understand now why Take That never broke into the American market. Not funky enough to dance to, not soulful enough to fall in love to, Take That represents the blandest of elevator music.
