Free Music Review: The album her first should have been
Hit: 4 Stars

Okay first things first, I have Tamela Manns First album. I still listen to it. I've loved her voice(powerful soprano at that) since she was one of Kirk Franklins singers. The setting for The Live Experience was the calvary chruch in Irving, Texas. With this album, she takes 9 of the 10 songs off of her first album with 1 new song and records them live. And having Myron Butler(a former 1NC member) and Levi sing back ground was not a bad idea for the album either.

The two songs "Speak Lord" and "Hallelujah" should have been live from the beginning with their churchy vibes. For the former, I enjoyed the transitioning to the smokie norful song(I need you now). Another track I thought was better live was the praise medely with it's organ drenched baptist sound.

I only have one complaint about this album though. I like the song "In your corner". I know this album was live, but I still wish they would have stuck w/ a sound similar to the studio version(i.e. I was they had stayed w/ the simple guitar arrangments for this album as well). Both versions are good, however I liked the guitar better than the keyboards.

All in all, If you are a Tamela Mann fan, you should give this album a try. I hope to hear new material from Tamela in the future.
