Free Music Notes for TarzanFree Music Review: Not the Usual Disney Hit: 5 Stars
Tarzan is a soundtrack written by Phil Collins and Mark Mancina. Alan Menken wasn't a part of this, so I didn't think it would be too great. But I was wrong. Tarzan is great and the music is unlike that of previous Disney movies. First off, the songs are really catchy and more like pop music than something from an animated Disney movie. All the songs are really good especially Two Worlds. Just look at the lyrics: "ut your faith in what you most believe in Two in worlds, one family..." Unlike other disney works, the songs don't just fit the movie, they can apply to everyone's life. I also like Rosie O'Donnell in Trashin the Camp. This soundtrack has a lot of good songs and scores. Buy it, you won't be disappointed.
Free Music Review: EXCELLENT OVERALL, even with its shortcomings Hit: 5 Stars
I'm a hopeless Disney fan, and neither the movie nor this soundtrack disappointed me. Phil Collins' songs are extraordinary--exhilarating listening experiences! I especially like "Son of Man" and "Strangers Like Me." Mancina's score is also beautiful and fittingly exotic, often with haunting solo wind instruments. Like many others have already noted, this soundtrack IS a little short (41 minutes), even with the different versions of several songs. I also don't like the "Trashin' the Camp" version with N'Sync, which doesn't fit in with the rest of the soundtrack (and not because N'Sync is breathtakingly great) and sounds just a little cheesy. The rest of the soundtrack makes up for the shortcomings, though.
Free Music Review: Another Disney masterpiece! Hit: 5 Stars
Wow, I can say that Disney has gone a long way since "The Little Mermaid". I haven't yet seen the movie "Tarzan", but I've heard the soundtrack and I think it's great. Disney has always had some of the best music ever created. Where do they find these great composers and artists? Who knows. All I can say is that every Disney soundtrack they've ever made is always great. And "Tarzan" proves it. The music from "Tarzan" is very unqiue and brillent. And since the music is so amazing, then the movie's gotta be great, too. If you've seen the movie, then you should certainly go out and buy this album. I can be sure that you will enjoy this soundtrack-even if you haven't seen the movie yet!
Free Music Review: Phil Collins is the master!! Hit: 5 Stars
I'm a teenager and went to see the movie Tarzan with my younger niece and nephew. I had heard about the soundtrack and that Phil was doing all the songs on it. I mostly listen to country music but my older brother had gotten me into Genesis way back in the early '90s and I have one of there CD's. When I heard Phil was doing the soundtrack I was so psyched! I saw the movie and thought it was great. I really liked the way they used Phil's voice instead of the characters to sing the songs in the movie itself. I bought the soundtrack the same day and within a week I had all the songs memorized. It's a must buy for Phil Collins fans. Everybody who saw the movie should own a copy of the soundtrack.
Free Music Review: One of the best Phil Collins efforts ever Hit: 5 Stars
The Tarzan soundtrack is perfect for the movie. It has a lot of songs by one of the best singers ever, Phil Collins, including the major hit single, "You'll Be In My Heart." There are some other noteworthy songs such as "Strangers Like Me" which is almost as good as "You'll Be In My Heart" in my opinion, and "Two Worlds" is also a great song. Phil Collins even does a version of "Trashin' The Camp" with N'Sync. The Tarzan soundtrack also has a lot of scores from certain parts in the movie, which are well done and go along great with the songs. If you liked the Tarzan movie or if you're a Phil Collins fan, I recommend getting the Tarzan soundtrack.
