Free Music Notes for TasteFree Music Review: excellent Hit: 4 Stars
Sometimes keeping a norrow musical scope is a good thing.
Rory Gallager's first band Taste put this album out in 1969 and it is blues, blues, and blues. All kinds of permutations,--slide guitar blues, hard rock blues, and psychadelic blues.
This has that dark, almost merky sound that a lot of hard rock, and yes, blues rock albums had in the 1960s. You will not get the types of detours and experimentst, such as the title track to 1970s On the Boards
But when an album is this good, you don't need this. Highly reccomended.

This is one dick I had been looking for for a long time. I had listened to it in the early 70's on vinyl. I finally found it on disk. The sound was just as I remembered it. Rory Gallagher was on of the greatest guitarists that ever lived. I will cherish this cd for many years to come. Greay buy.
