Free Music Notes for FearlessFree Music Review: Taylor's talent and drive produce a stunning sophomore album Hit: 5 Stars
Taylor Swift has more talent in her pinky finger than most "celebrities" will ever have; and it shows through very clearly when you listen to her sing her own songs on this album! Taylor's voice is as clear as a bell and her sophisticated phrasing enhances her singing all the more. This is a very fine album with excellent sound quality; and I like that artwork, too.
The album opens with Taylor singing at her usual very best on the title track "Fearless." "Fearless" has great percussion, guitar and more to boot as Taylor sings this without ever letting go of a single superfluous note! I'm impressed. The melody has a type of country-pop flavor to it that I always like; and "Fearless" makes a great start for the CD. "Fifteen" is a poignant tune about a freshman's college student's experiences with love, a good friend and more; Taylor sings this with all her heart and soul. "Love Story" has music that fits in perfectly with Taylor's vocals; I love it! "White Horse" has an acoustic element to it; Taylor's vocals remain squarely front and center--right where they belong! "White Horse" is a major highlight of this album; this can move even those of us with the hardest of hearts.
"You Belong With Me" has Taylor handling complex tempo and key changes like a pro; it's been a joy to hear this on a local radio station and it's another fine example of Taylor's genius! The melody is catchy and Taylor never skips a beat, either. "Breathe" is quite moving; the guitar and other instruments remain in the background and you never have to strain to hear when Taylor Swift--and Colbie Caillat--are singing. Taylor and Colbie both sound really good on this track.
"Tell Me Why" is a fierce tune that has Taylor exploring the pain that can come with love--it's very well done. "The Way I Loved You" is a stunner that Taylor aces as effortlessly as if it were mere breathing. Of course, we know it really wasn't all that easy--Taylor's talent carries her through admirably. "Forever & Always" showcases Taylor's fine ability to sing a torch song about her ex-boyfriend Joe Jonas; and the album ends strong with Taylor Swift performing "Change." "Change," one heck of a song supporting Team USA's efforts during the 2008 summer Olympics, has some interesting key modulations and Taylor handles this like a champ--she does this passionately and it leaves me wanting more!
Taylor Swift is one terrific singer-songwriter; and hopefully she'll choose to share her exceptional, creative talent with us for many years to come. This is a must-have for her fans; and it also makes a fine starter CD for people just getting into the magical artistry of Taylor Swift.
Free Music Review: Taylor Swift - Fearless Hit: 5 Stars
After listening to Taylor Swift's most recent CD, Fearless, I have come to the conclusion that she is affecting society in a positive way. The lyrics of her songs are filled with some powerful and important messages. In her song, Fifteen, a warning, and a sad truth, is given to high school freshmen. Just because a boy says, "I love you" does not mean he wants to marry you. Swift encourages her audience to be careful and that if you give yourself away, you will regret it. Along the same lines, in the song, You Belong with Me, she uses a bunch of images and the stage is high school.
I would say that Swift's average fans are teenage girls still in high school. These young girls can relate to the lyrics of the music. However, the situations that Swift paints are common situations that I, a 22 year old can relate to. Everyone has had their heart broken once or twice. I think that Swift is open, honest and down to earth. This is a great characteristic trait to have - it makes Swift that much more real opposed to a celebrity.
I love the fact that she writes her own songs instead of hiring someone else. It would be easier to pass that responsibility off to someone, but she does not. To me, it shows that Swift's heart is in the music. She likes what she does and is not just doing it for the fame and fortune.
I do not like when the music is overpowering the vocalist. I love how there is a blend. I can enjoy the beat and rhythm. At the same time I can enjoy the lyrics without having to strain to hear what is being said. The music is light and catchy. I find myself still humming the melody hours after listening to the song. It is hard to find music in today's society that does not speak of sex nor has any words in it that needs to be bleeped out when played on the radio. I appreciate it and will allow my children to listen to it.
While listening to the CD, I was looking through the album cover. All her pictures are decent modest pictures. She has all her clothes on and nothing is showing. In my personal opinion; this is the way anyone should dress.
When singing, Taylor Swift tends to be a tad nasal, but this reason alone is not a good enough reason for me to stop listening. I think that her acting skills in the music videos are super.
In conclusion, Taylor Swift is an awesome role model for young teenagers. She is modest and clean, does not curse, shows responsibility, has heart for what she does and provides wonderful advice. I love this CD and encourage others to listen to it with an open mind.

Free Music Review: Not a letdown! Hit: 5 Stars
I find that sometimes a musician will have an awesome first album, then the next album comes out and just doesn't quite have it... This is so not the case here. It has that Taylor Swift sound that you love, but is new and fresh. Her sound has definitely evolved without becoming unrecognizable.
Stand out songs I think are:
*Fearless, the title track, that has those awesome lyrics that are so simple that Taylor Swift always seems to come up with. Sweet message about loving a boy that makes her feel fearless. Makes you feel good.
*White Horse - Ballad about being treated badly by a guy and all the feelings that go along with that. This is a song that definitely sounded different to me initally (when I heard it on Grey's). It's not as country as some of her other songs. Love, love, love the lyrics.
*Breathe feat. Colbie Caillat - Slow song with lyrics about a separation from someone you love and how hard that is. Simple beat. Love the sound of Taylor and Colbie singing together on the chorus. I love singing along to this in my car. It has so much emotion.
*You're Not Sorry - Slower song about a guy who treats a girl badly, leads her on, lies, apologizes when he doesn't really mean it (hence the title). It's about finally waking up and realizing you're too good for that guy (haven't we all been there?). Catchy chorus. Nice beat.
*The Best Day - This song reminds me a little of Colbie Caillat's style of music as well. It doesn't necessarily have to be considered country, especially if you don't know Taylor Swift. Just a sweet, simple song about her mom. I love it. Plus, my mom is awesome, and I always think of her when I listen to it. Really a sweet thing to write a song for your mom I think (and it's not cheesy like you might think it could be).
*Change - This song is upbeat. It's about being the one to believe in change when not everyone does and some even want to stop you and keep things the same. And how good it feels when that much needed change comes along. Very feel good song and passionate.
I have lots of favorites on here as you can see, but these are the ones that really stick out to me. I like every song on the album, but these are the best (I think). I also have to say that I'm not a huge country music fan. I like Taylor Swift because she has a good voice, simple songs that are fun and catchy with good lyrics. She doesn't sound super country when she sings, and there aren't a bunch of country-style instruments. It's just about the music. It sometimes doesn't even sound like country.
Free Music Review: ~brilliant songwriter~ Hit: 5 Stars
Taylor Swift is one talented teen! She had a hand again in every song on her highly anticipated sophomore CD - this time she wrote 7, and co-wrote 6. The first single, "Love Story" is a good example of how she can combine great lyrics with a catchy beat - and then produce a smash crossover hit. The most remarkable thing about the album is that it is incredibly balanced...and almost every song is so good that it could be released as a radio single. I think it is now safe to say that she is a rising star who will just keep on rising!
Taylor opens the album with the strong title track "Fearless", and ends the album with the powerful theme song of the summer Olympics, "Change". In the middle is a sure huge hit "The Way I Loved You" - a song that she wrote with John Rich. "Fifteen" is her most personal song, a bittersweet gem where she sings about her freshman year and her best friend for the past 5 years, Abigail. "White Horse" (which has already been featured on Grey's Anatomy) is a well written tearjerker - a heartfelt song that is just waiting to become her next blockbuster hit. A good example of her more acoustic side is "Breathe" - a simple song written with Colbie Caillat who also sings background vocals in the song. Taylor's writing seems to have matured and grown in the past 2 years. Take "The Best Day" for example - which is a completely different but awesome song, which is written about her family. She appeals to a wide audience, and executes this so well here on Fearless.
It's incredible how quickly Taylor crossed over and became not only a big country star, but a huge pop star also. It took only her second single - Teardrops On My Guitar - for her to become amazingly popular in mainstream music! Then she continued to release 3 more hits (two of them #1) off her debut album. Talk about a hard act to follow - but I can't see this trend stopping anytime soon with Fearless - this album is a major home run. She isn't the same country artist who sang "Tim Mcgraw", and I understand that some people will not be happy about that. If there are any flaws here, it would be that many of the songs are pop-country hits which are about the same subject - teens. You can't please everyone, but look for her to just become even bigger and more popular, with more #1's and crossover pop smash hits. Taylor's sophomore CD is very well done...filled with excellent, self-penned, radio-friendly top 40 hits! Overall ~ 9/10 ~
Free Music Review: Taylor Swift Is Definitely Here To Stay Hit: 5 Stars
Taylor Swift's sophomore album's main subjects surround boys, love, and heartbreak and I haven't been able to stop listening ever since November, when it came out. A few songs take some time to grow on you, but eventually It's definitely worth your time. She's also an amazing songwriter that most can relate to.
Fearless (10/10) Pretty Catchy. Good Song. It's about not being afraid to just jump into a relationship.
Fifteen (9/10) This song is about her freshman year in high school, and realizing that dating the boy on the football team isn't everything. And that there are more important things in life. It warns younger girls not to fall too deep. This song takes a while to sink in.
Love Story (9/10) This song is extremely popular. I love this song because it's so creatively written with the story of Romeo and Juliet.
I rated it as 9 out of 10 because it's a bit over-played.
Hey Stephen (11/10) This song is amazing!!! I love this song. It is definitely one of my favorites and her laugh is adorable. It is about a boy that she is infatuated with. "Cause' I can't help it, if you look like an angel, can't help it, if I wanna' kiss you in the rain, so."
White Horse (8/10) A disappointment and pain due to a guy. "It's too late for your white horse, to catch me now..."
You Belong With Me (9/10) I can really relate to this song, which is about a guy who you know belongs with you and whom you know better than his girlfriend, but he still doesn't realize it.
Tell Me Why (9/10 ) I love the intro. She's questioning him about why he had to treat her this way and hurt her. "You tell me that you love me, then cut me down."
You're Not Sorry (9/10) She wrote this song herself, and the title says it all.
The Way I Loved you (9/10)
Forever and Always (10/10) A song about her ex-boyfriend Joe Jonas about how she thought he meant it when he said forever and always, but it ended bitterly... and she wonders if he meant it at all.
The Best Day (9/10) A tribute to her family. I used to skip this one, until I finally caught on to it. It's very sweet.
Change (7/10) Even though this song was a single, I actually don't like this song...I find that it's okay.
Even though she's not exactly a powerhouse, Fearless is one of the best albums I've heard this year.
