Free Music Notes for Songs from the Big ChairFree Music Review: A fan of the 80's Hit: 5 StarsThis is by far one of the best albums from the 80's. I personally enjoyed the gold version of this better. But it is extreamly hard to find. This version has more songs on it and is darker. From what I understand this is the version the group wanted and the other versions are the for the general public lighter stuff. This album is probably most known for the song "Shout".
Free Music Review: Timeless Hit: 5 StarsThe reissue doesn't add anything to the original, however if you don't own it, consider buying it. In my opinion, the "hits" not even as good as the other songs. "The Working Hour" is an exquisite piece of music, full of passion. The silky sax intro leads into a huge soundscape, topped by gripping and emotional vocals. It is still chilling when I hear it today. The REST of this recording is great. Other cuts of interest are "Listen" which crosses many genres, and is a more of a hypnotic chant than synth-pop tune. Certainly one of the finest recordings of the 1980s.
Free Music Review: The Big Chair is a classic. Hit: 5 StarsI still remember when this album was big back in the 80s and I still love it today. I'll never forget when my breath was taken away when I first heard EWTRTW and Shout. The best song however is the Working Hour. I still get chills listening to this song. This album is a classic by all means and should be in anyones rock/pop collection.
Free Music Review: Solid 80's pop Hit: 4 StarsFrom the band's silly name, to their dependence on synthesizers, Tears for Fears is a fine example of the 80's pop sound. The band, led by Roland Orzabel's powerful voice, made some memorable recordings and this CD has most of their best material. This CD captures their sound well, and it is their most commercially and critically successful. Unless you are an incredible fan, you can get this one for your CD collection and skip the greatest hits packages.(This review refers to the original recording w/o the filler.)
Free Music Review: THE BIG BIG BIG BIG BIG BIG BIG BIG CHAIR Hit: 5 StarsTHis is a great 80s album that should be in everyones collection. The Working Hour makes this album worth buying. And you can also get some bonus tracks that show an even greater perspective of their talent. Go out and buy this CD.
