Technotronic were a European dance act that scored a run of pop hits in 1990 from this album which was cutting-edge in its time for its newfangled techno beat sound. I liked this back then when I was 19-20 years old , and so I ordered my copy of the CD on Amazon late in 2007 as a bit of a "retro" buy and was not disappointed when I heard the whole disc. I guess high-tech dance music is at risk of souding dated within a few years as newer styles supersede earlier ones, but I don't think this disc really sounds out of date and it is still entertaining .Female rapper Ya Kid K does most of the vocals.
A 4 star disc that other people who remember the dance music of 1989-90 might like to have.

Technotronic probably had THE most danced to album on the UK in 1989-1990. It's what all the clubs were playing, and it's as fabulous today as it was then. Even the most diehard anti-dance-folks can't stand still when this is booming, and the driving beat is perfect for exercising, power-walking and treadmills.Free Music Review: Timeless classic that marked a grand transition out of the 1980s into the 1990s!

Is it just me or is 1989's "Pump Up The Jam" among the most innovative dance records that I've ever heard even listening it today. The title track is universally popular even today and it's clear why! It is just an incredible and powerful jam for the dance floor. Other songs are the spunky "Come On" as well as the similar track "Rockin To The Beat". Get this CD today! Free Music Review: Great album

This CD is perhaps old but it's still great to listen today. It's one of the classics of eurodance and no one will change it. I really enjoyed every track on this album : if you like one track, you will like all of them because they are similar. My favourites are PUMP UP THE JAM, GET UP [BEFORE THE NIGHT IS OVER], TOUGH, COME ON, THIS BEAT IS TECHNOTRONIC, ROCKIN' OVER THE BEAT and MOVE THIS. The best of these tracks is THIS BEAT IS TECHNOTRONIC : a great "classic techno" track that will make you dance, the band did an amazing job with this track, I love it. But I also listen to the others. A good purchase that you won't regret if you listened and like one track from that album.
