Free Music Notes for Tenacious D The Pick of Destiny

Free Music Review: Great Soundtrack CD
Hit: 5 Stars

Some great new songs, but as mentioned this is a soundtrack so don't expect it to be of the same caliber as their first CD. There are some really great songs on here including History (which I never understood why it wasn't on their first as it is one of their older songs). But also some first rate newer songs such as Kickapoo, The Government Totally Sucks, Master Exploder, and my current favorite Beelzeboss.

My only complaint is that the CD is too short...they should have at least filled it out more with some dialog from the movie...but it's enough to keep me happy till their next CD.

Free Music Review: The Fun Of The Pick Of Destiny To Go
Hit: 5 Stars

This is a great sound track that anyone who liked the movie will enjoy listening to. It has all the tracks played in the movie, plus a few fun extras. The sound quality is very good. The music is great, and the lyrics are hilarious. The parental advisory warning does not lie. There is just as much horrific language on the soundtrack as there is in the movie. But I do mind mind the language that much, I feel it adds to the quirkiness of the lyrics. So, if you enjoyed the movie, you will love he soundtrack. It has all the fun of The Pick of Destiny to go.

Free Music Review: the metal lives in the d.
Hit: 5 Stars

yes. yes. YES. tenacious d rocks even harder than on their last cd. there's definately a true display of metal rocking power. the talent is excellent, the harmonies are triumphant. the devil was outrocked. really now, who would know metal better than satan? the d. that's who. and maybe testament. but i don't think testament challenged satan to a rock off, so we might never know the outcome of that battle. so the d. get the d's cd. it will make you happy. i am over 13 years old, so i checked the 'i am over the age of 13' box.

Free Music Review: Give it a chance, you won't be able to stop listening to it
Hit: 5 Stars

When I put this album in my CD player after getting it, my first impression was that it wasn't as good as the first album. Three and a half days later, I can't stop listening to it! My girlfriend is sick of my singing.

Beelzeboss is the best track on the album by far, with Grohl's drumming and vocals as the devil, and the D absolutely rocking. The appearences of Meatloaf and Dio were definite plusses. It's awesome to hear History on this album.

Hopefully my relationship can withstand this onslaught from the D.

Free Music Review: He who is sleazy is easy to pleasey.
Hit: 5 Stars

Not quite as great as the s/t debut album, "The Pick Of Destiny" still has some great moments. But there aren't any comedic interlude tracks on this album (which I think really helped the other album flow), just tiny snippets from the movie. And a lot of the songs seem too short, which ends up making the soundtrack too short. But the track "Beelzeboss (The Final Showdown)" is epic! Overall, this is a great soundtrack for a movie nobody's seen yet.
