I am a big fan of Tenacious D's music, and I didn't like this album upon first listen. I was skeptical about the massive amount of profanity throughout the album, and overall did not think it was that funny. After watching the film, however, I think that this album is hilarious. Tenacious D is comical in all aspects of their art, and this soundtrack only further proves this. Great album.Free Music Review: Short or not, worth the purchase

If you are a fan of Tenacious D, this is a must have! This music will have you goin' "whoooaaaa" with almost every single song on this album. First, watch the movie! The songs on this album give away some things that happen in the movie, so watch the movie or small things will be spoiled. After you see the movie, get this! You just can't question or understand the motives of the "D". You just have to accept that they know what is best for us. We may not be ready to handle their real follow up to their debut album. All the complaints I see have to do with the album being too short. Like others have said: this is a soundtrack- not a full album. I was able to go to a sneak preview of this movie (which "Rocks Your F'n Socks Off!!!!!) and you can see the relevance. Taken in context with the movie, this album fully deserves 5 stars.
