Free Music Notes for The '60s: Original NBC Motion Picture Soundtrack

Free Music Review: This isn't a sound track...
Hit: 3 Stars

This isn't a soundtrack... Honestly, I don't know what it is. It does have several good songs on it, but it didn't even scratch the surface of the amount of songs the miniseries had. Though I like "Chicago / Change The World", and some of the others, I was really disapointed that "For What It's Worth" by Buffalo Springfield wasn't included. Anyway, if you haven't seen the movie, you may not mind the lack of 3/4 the songs, but it truly is a lacking CD...

Free Music Review: It has very good songs but misses some other good ones.
Hit: 4 Stars

I am looking for the author and title of that song that goes:"you put the load right on me", Can somebody help me?!

Free Music Review: Unbelievably INcomplete!
Hit: 2 Stars

"Nature's Way" in the movie was really great! Why couldn't it be on the sountrack?!??! But now am trying to identify one song: In the movie it was pretty much of a flute instrumental, slow and hynotic, and then there are some male vocals briefly "I saw you come back to me...." Thanks for your help! If you know what I'm talking about, write a review here again...

Free Music Review: Like the overhyped mini-series,this cd is just *o.k.*.....
Hit: 3 Stars

It really should have been a two-cd set. Enjoyed hearing "We Can Change The World" (G. Nash), "Somebody To Love" (Jefferson Airplane)and, especially,"The Weight" (The Band),which, for me,has an ethereal, hypnotizing harmonic quality that transports me immediately back to '68 and harkens to some of the "unplugged" approaches artists (such as Eric Clapton)have recently done.

One track I was surprised didn't make it was Scott McKenzie's "San Francisco",which was essentially a lyrical invitation to the flower children, presaging the "Summer of Love" in 1967.

Free Music Review: I like the big hits all on one CD
Hit: 3 Stars

This is a great CD with all the Motown oldie hits
