This was the first folk album I ever bought and lead me to Pete Seeger, Woody Gutherie, Huddie Ledbetter, blues and bluegrass.
Unions are currently looked down upon because the history of labor is not taught and is practically unknown. Thank them for your five day work week and eight hour work day. These are the songs sung to inspire the laborers and still inspire today.
