Free Music Notes for Arc AngelsFree Music Review: Arc Angels CD Hit: 5 StarsFor those unaware...this is Stevie Ray Vaughns rythm section (Layton and Shannon) with Texas guitar slingers Bramhall II and Sexton. Fine, well-written and performed songs throughout. Actually a tribute album to Stevie Ray after his death. Has always been one of my favorite albums. I highly recommend it.

Free Music Review: Arc Angels Hit: 5 StarsI like this group because a couple of them made up Double Trouble-Stevie Ray Vaughan's band. I think Doyle Bramhall III is the very best left-handed lead guitar player and he also plays with Roger Waters.
Free Music Review: Saw the show! Hit: 5 Stars3days ago now I went to see these guys do a show in Dallas. I don't know if they plan on staying together or not. Maybe just a few gigs. But good god almighty. They blew the roof off. Tight ,tight, tight. Also , a verison of Hendrix's Angel was a killer. They all work together so well. No ego's here. This show was at the House of blues 12-29-07. That's right. Special indeed. Nothing can be found as a web site for anything current which blow's the mind. Let's hope these guy's keep a good thing going. The album well, is just a small peice of what the guys can show you. But the album is killer in it's self. They keep you on the edge of your seat all night long. I've seen many a good show but this is by far the best with intense power and strenght that I have ever seen. Two good singers and two good no great guitar players and stevie's guys to keep pace. Think about! Wow. They did in fact blow the roof off! Pat N. in Dallas.
Free Music Review: Maybe it got better towards the end... Hit: 1 StarsI listened to the first 4.5 songs and then threw the CD out the window on the interstate...
Free Music Review: Every Texan should own this stellar recording Hit: 5 StarsThese are songs that were recorded soon after Stevie Ray Vaughan died, and the players on this CD were some of his closest compadres. These fellows were in deep pain from the loss of Stevie, and these songs culled from their ARC sessions are a vivid glimpse into how they worked their way through the pain. Charlie Sexton and Doyle Bramhall II trade vocals and guitar licks, while Tommy Shannon and Chris Layton, aka "Double Trouble", lay down the rythym section. It's a phenomenal CD by all accounts. Every song is very good, and at the price Amazon has this CD for, there is no excuse to not own this.
Texas Blues Rock-
Sexton has recorded and toured with Dylan, and Bramhall has toured with Roger Waters and now works with Eric Clapton.
