Free Music Review: Sounds of Science: The best of the Beastie Boys on 2 CD's

If you don't have many of the other Beastie Boys Albums, this is the greatest thing to start with. All the best Beastie Boys songs, including a revamped version of others, like the Fatboy Slim remix of Body Moving used in the video, but not on the original track on Hello Nasty, with kewl drums and a great bass line, which makes the song much better than the original. There are other greats on here like Live Wire, Intergalactic and all the other greats, even Fight for your Right, and some instrumental tracks from the hard to find French import The In Sound from Way Out, one of the greatest Beastie Boys albums, but hard to obtain.Free Music Review: Some Tracks Missing But Some Great Stuff

Sure there are some great songs not included on this set such as She's Crafty and Paul Revere but nonetheless this is a great set. What's great about it is the weird, rare stuff that is still really cool. This wasn't meant to be the ultimate greatest hits but also show off the many sides of the beastie boys including some of the weird stuff like country mike's theme, benny and the jets, and egg raid on mojo. balance that stuff with the great songs we all know and love such as sabatoge and so what'cha want and this is a great collection of music.Free Music Review: Mixed Up

Not being a great BB listener I bought this double CD set out of curiosity, based on the raves it got. I'm not really a big fan of this style of music (except for holding a tremendous admiration for Public Enemy which purists would dispute being in the same category at all, I guess).It's very mixed - with some fabulous songs and some dross.
If you're not a long time fan I recommend you buy their last two albums, particularly Hello Nasty which I think is wonderful and a great deal more sophisticated than most of the tracks found here.

This cd is my second favorite cd(next to DMX's Flesh of my flesh, blood of my blood) the best song is 3 MC's and one DJ. There are many, many more good songs, but i don't want to list that many. Great music, ranging from old Beastie Boys to new Beastie Boys stuff. I SWEAR YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPPOINTED. BUY IT NOW!!!!!Free Music Review: terrible
