Free Music Notes for Anthology 2

Free Music Review: for die hard fans & Beatles collectors only!
Hit: 2 Stars

Like the part 1, this cd features the rough mixes, mono demo recording, rough studio chats. This re-released is dedicated especially to the die hard fans only. Because they will be happy with this release. Though the sound quality of this part two is a bit better than another one.

PS: Paul mc cartney and Ringo Starr are still expecting all your money. Need I say more ?

Free Music Review: REVISION TAMPIQUE?`A
Hit: 4 Stars

ESTE VOLUMEN DE LA ANTOLOGIA NO PARECE CUMPLIR CON LAS EXPECTATIVAS EN CUANTO A SU CONTENIDO.CONTINUA CON LA POLITICA ESTABLECIDA POR EMI EN SU ANTERIOR VOLUMEN Y LA CUAL CONTINUARIA EN EL SIG VOLUMEN DE SER UN PRODUCTO DISE?ADO PARA UN AMPLIO PUBLICO.PIENSO QUE FANS MAS AFERRADOS DEL GRUPO ESPERABAMOS ALGO MENOS COMERCIAL.POR EJEMPPLO,NO INCLUYERON CANCIONES DE SU CONCIERTO EN EL CANDLESTICK PARK,EL CUAL FUE EL ULTIMO;EN CAMBIO INCLUYERON CANCIONES DEL BUDOKAN.ADEM?S,COMETIERON EL GRAVE ERROR DE EDITAR MUCHAS DE LAS CANCIONES,SOBRE TODO DE 1967, EN ARAS DE HACERLAS MAS "PRESENTABLES",EN VEZ DE DEJARLAS TAL Y COMO LAS GRABARON (PENNY LANE,LUCY IN THE SKY, A DAY IN THE LIFE,HELLO GOODBYE). HAY CANCIONES POCO RELEVANTES QUE POCO TIENEN QUE HACER EN ESTE VOLUMEN.ES DE NOTAR TAMBIEN QUE CASI NO HAY CANCIONES EN CONCIERTO DE LAS GIRAS QUE REALIZARON EN EL PERIODO QUE ABARCA ESTE VOLUMEN CUANDO EXISTE MATERIAL SUFICIENTE QUE PUDO HABER SIDO INCLUIDO (LAS ACTUACIONES EN EL HOLLYWOOD BOWL)

POR EL CONTRARIO,EL ALBUM TIENE GRANDES MOMENTOS COMO LOS DEMOS ACUSTICOS DE "STRAWBERRY FIELDS FOREVER",LA UNICA TOMA ALTERNA DE "YESTERDAY",Y EL FINAL CON LA MEJOR VERSION DE "ACROSS THE UNIVERSE" QUE HAYA ESCUCHADO. EN LO PERSONAL, AUNQUE "REAL LOVE" LES QUED? MUY BIEN,NO LLEGA A LA ALTURA SENTIMENTAL DE "FREE AS A BIRD".

EN FIN,LO MAS CONVENIENTE ES COMBINAR ESTE VOLUMEN CON MATERIAL EXISTENTE EN OTRAS ANTOLOGIAS SUBTERRANEAS COMO "ANTHOLOGY MORE" Y "ANTHOLOGY PLUS",LAS CUALES SIRVEN DE COMPLEMENTO PERFECTO PARA LA ANTOLOGIA OFICIAL.AUN ASI,ESTE VOL. ES DE COMPRA OBLIGADA PARA CUALQUIER FAN DEL GRUPO,SEA PRINCIPIANTE O NO. SON LOS BEATLES EN SU ETAPA MAS CREATIVA.

Free Music Review: A nice collector's piece for die hards
Hit: 3 Stars

The attraction to the Anthology Collection is the use of alternative takes of old Beatles standards. While I have heard "Strawberry Fields" and "You've Got to Hide Your Love Away" countless times, these alternate takes are interesting because they make you listen carefully for any differences. The new song, "Real Love" has a serene feel that makes one wish they were still releasing albums to this day. On another note, however, the record doesn't bring much more than the same material we've all heard numerous times back to life, only in an incomplete form. I think highly of this record because I am a die hard Beatles enthusiast. But I only listened to it a few times because I was interested in how these takes differed from the ones placed on the U.K. official releases. "Anthology 2" is a nice collector's item for Beatleheads, but those interested in their hits should look into picking up "1" or even one of their classic U.K. releases such as "Revolver" or "Rubber Soul" first. If you want to hear "Free as a Bird," download it off the web.

Free Music Review: The good gets better
Hit: 4 Stars

Fresh off the success of their last hit album, "Beatles For Sale," The Beatles are back in the studio producing "Help!," "Revolver," and "Rubber Soul." We hear various rehearsals from the "Help!" era, all of which are very good, especially the talking at the beginning about the song (the greatest moments in the set are when George asks Paul, "What key is it in?" before "Yesterday" and John's "Sugar plum fairy, sugar plum fairy" before "A Day In The Life.") The live songs on disc 1 show evidence of the dying Beatlemania, and with new sounds and styles such as "Norweigan Wood" and "Tomorrow Never Knows," touring became boring for the Beatles. In 1966 they decided enough is enough, and we can hear on this album the bordom of the 1966 concerts. With tourin out of their way, they created "Sgt. Pepper" and "Magical Mystery Tour," and we hear very early takes of "Strawberry Fields Forever" and "A Day In The Life." These are all very good and well-presented.

Free Music Review: As good as all the others
Hit: 5 Stars

If your a beatle fan like me then you like hearing other versions of songs you've grown to love, and ones you felt were getting a little stale due to radio stations playing the same beatle tunes over and over. This and all the other anthologys are must haves, My favorite song out of all of them is the blues version of Helter skelter on the third anthology. Its so insane, i really felt it they should have stuck with this version. Of course charlie might have felt different.
