Free Music Review: Not the ORIGINAL Soundtrack
Hit: 4 Stars

This is not the American release of the Original Soundtrack, it has added a few songs not from that album and left off the original instrumentals such as "In the Tyrol", "rom me to you fantasy" " The Chase" and more.
Don't know why they can't come up with standard releases instead of UK releases here in the USA, when all we got at the time of release from Capitol was the USA version............now they are all UK.

Free Music Review: Help!
Hit: 4 Stars

The Beatles-Help ****

Help! is far from the five star classic it is being labeled but it was a precursor to what was to come from the boys. Just around the corner the four lads would release five of the greatest albums in music history, so for me this plays as a warm up lap around the recording studio.

The title track 'Help' really was a personal cry for help from John Lennon, and not to mention on of the groups best. 'Yesterday' is the very best song McCartney ever recorded, it also went on to become the most covered song in history with well over five hundred version to date. 'Hide Your Love Away' would have fit better on Rubber Soul but is a nice addition to Help! ''The Night Before' is pretty catchy and Paul was really on to something here, and 'Ticket To Ride' might be the strongest thing The Beatles ever recorded. John was a true genius. As for the rest of the songs, honestly they are take it or leave it, and just because they are the Beatles does not make them great songs.

Once again while I don't think this is necessarily a classic I do think it is worth owning and one of the best 'early' Beatles albums.

Free Music Review: Product misrepresentation by Amazon and Vendor
Hit: 1 Stars

All the CD's I ordered, did not indicate that they are South American originated copies - Brazil and Argentina. The nation of origin of the product should be listed. I still am not certain that they aren't pirate copies, and the vendor Innuendo still has not sent a return call tag. I would recommend using another service.

Free Music Review: Can we go higher than *5*?
Hit: 5 Stars

With all due respect to the domestic version with the movie soundtrack incidental instrumentals, this Beatles album/CD is probably their greatest album. And its' ironic that it's basically a "soundtrack". Forget the famous mediocrity you saw once amnd said it wasn't as good as "A Hard Day's Night". This collection has *everything*. No B-side/filler/throwaway stuff. Even the track that Lennon himself didn't care for, the beat ballad "It's Only Love" is a highlight! (Gotta say, the "Anthology" version is cooler, though).
As the historians know, there was progrssiveness a-foot throughout - yes, the Bob Dylan influence is here, there, and everywhere. They kept their Little Richard leanings and infused Mr. Zimmerman and....what a sound. Their musical counterparts an fans....slackjawed as we say four times a day, today.
Naturally we hear a strong Country influence on tunes like that famous B-side, plus "You Like Me Too Much", "I've Just Seen A Face", and "Another Girl".
Not that you asked, but my favorite track is "The Night Before". It's characteristically Little Richard Meets The Everly Brothers over a brilliant composition.
Their composing, instrumentalizing, and singing was only getting better. (as in, consistently great).
CD stereo sound is fine. No new liner notes, though.
