Free Music Notes for LoveFree Music Review: Beatle Mania Revisted Hit: 5 StarsBest remix of any 60s music. It's obvious a lot of work went into this. The results are impressive. This is THE soundtrack of and for the '60s'. Just when I thought I couldn't bare to listen to another Beatles set, comes this, my favorite album of the last 40 years.
Free Music Review: My Second Favorite Beatles Album Ever Hit: 5 StarsYes, this is a "soundtrack" and not really a "Beatles album" per se, but this is so incredible it stands on its own. The achievement in sound mixing alone is well worth the price. I wish I had time for a full proper review but I don't.
The sound quality is better than anything I have heard before.
The unique manner in which songs are combined = genius.
Yoko, Paul and Ringo all worked together to make sure the songs were not abused or taken out of context and to ensure top quality in the new mixes.
From the opening track "because" you can tell you are in for something original and very special.
Abbey Road will always be my favorite album, but this now comes in at a close second. Perhaps one reason is the way so many of the songs run together just like the b-side of Abbey Road.
Get it now!
Free Music Review: Fantastic! I Love Love! Hit: 5 StarsAfter seeing LOVE in Las Vegas last summer, this CD has been a steady in my iPod. This soundtrack recalls the images of the performance so vividly I love to get lost in remembering what a cool experience it all was. I think the re-tooled mixes are fantastic and maintain the integrity of the originals. It helps that George Martin had his hand in the process...lends a bit of credibility. Not just anyone can remix Beatles tunes!!
Free Music Review: Cheese and Onions Hit: 2 StarsBring back the Rutles.
This was an ambitious project but loses the mark with me.
Free Music Review: nice try Hit: 4 StarsThe Beatles: Love. This is a good album that could have been a great album. Sir George Martin and company took a terrific idea as far as they could. They carefully avoided some cliches' and pitfalls and came up with a nice mix and a very listenable CD. I do have some problems with the backward version of Sun King, I just never saw (or heard) the point. Perhaps there was a secret message I missed? All in all however, well done!!!
