Free Music Review: At first, I couldn't stand it Hit: 5 StarsNow I listen to it almost every day. One complaint is that it doesn't cover much early stuff. The other is ending with All You Need Is Love is cliche, but it works. Otherwise, listen to it as if you had never heard of this band before. It isn't perfect, but it brings new appreciation to the Beatles for an already huge Beatles fan here.
Free Music Review: Love "Love" Hit: 5 StarsThe DVD Audio Disc sounds amazing!
If you want your Beatles in the virgin, untouched form, this isn't for you but if you want something a little bit different, but still sticks to familiar Beatles sounds, then this is a must have.
This is by farrrrr better then Anthology IMO.
Free Music Review: JUST BRILLIANT ! Hit: 5 StarsIf you enjoy Beatles' music, you will absolutely just love this innovative soundscape, produced by Sir George Martin and his son Giles. The re-mastered/re-mixed sound is superb. If you get the chance go to see the Cirque de Soliel/Beatles'Love show in Las Vegas... It is an amazingly incredible experience and will make this album of music come alive even more vividly.
Free Music Review: At least the better new Beatles release Hit: 4 StarsI cringe with fear the so-called new Beatles releases that pour out every Xmas. Anthology was a mix match of gems and also rejected stuff. The BBC anthology was so so. Like Elvis, the Beatles is the most recycled group ever.
I like this one. Although there is technically nothing new hear, the remixes give the Beatles, a fresh new Moulin Rogue sound. The recordings sound fresh and not old.
If Elvis can be remixed for the dance floor, some clever guy at EMI should do it. Allons-y!
