Free Music Review: I AM THE WALRUS!!!!
Hit: 5 Stars

Terrific album!!! one of the best masterpieces of the best group in the world, this was made by Capitol records in late 1967, compilating the EP-MAGICAL MYSTERY TOUR (containing six songs) with the three latest beatles singles (STRAWBERRY FIEDS FOREVER/PENNY LANE, ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE/BABY YOU'RE A RICH MAN and HELLO-GOODBYE/I AM THE WALRUS); what a great work!! Capitol created a monster!!! all the album has a big quality and some of the best work of the fab-four; excellent songs like MAGICAL MYSTERY TOUR, FOOL ON THE HILL and YOUR MOTHER SHOULD KNOW; this is a beatle-treasure!!

Free Music Review: It reminds me of my favorite pizza
Hit: 5 Stars

Gibson's, the department store where I bought this album, was on the way to my favorite pizza place. The night I bought Magical Mystery Tour, we also picked up some pizzas for dinner. To this day, I think of my favorite pizza everytime I see the album cover and/or hear the music. I've long since bought all the Beatle albums there are to have and it's kind of a shame there are no new Beatle albums left to experience for the first time. They also tore down my favorite pizza place years ago.

Free Music Review: A rag-tag collection lacking the coherence that we expected
Hit: 4 Stars

After the ground-breaking and heady Sgt. Pepper any new release by The Beatles was destined to be critically and publicly less well received. The fact that two of the best cuts on the LP had been released as singles (the two-sided hit Penny Lane/ Strawberry Fields) well before the album debuted inevitably diminished the excitement that accompanied the first spinning of a new Beatles album. Finally, and predictably, the "controversy" surrounding the "failed" movie allowed the naysayers some room to air their opinion that the momentum achieved by the band over the course of the previous two years had finally stalled. I cannot really argue with any of the foregoing! That being said, Magical Mystery Tour still remains a solid LP choc-a-block with interesting, if not uniformly inspiring, songs.

Other than the two-sided single the highpoints of the album are John's brilliant Walrus and Paul's Fool. For me the remaining songs, while not second-rate by normal standards, are just not in the same lofty league as the myriad classy songs that populated Rubber Soul, Revolver and Pepper. As others have remarked, this record lacks the coherence that we had come to expect from the band. Fortunately, the boys would shortly redeem themselves!

Free Music Review: Magical
Hit: 5 Stars

I love this Cd. Even though the horrible movie, this is a cd that is worth to have, because it has pretty good songs. If you are a passing by beatles fan or a hardcore beatles fan, you must have it

Free Music Review: The best Beatles non-album
Hit: 5 Stars

Sure the film is terrible, but this disc probably has some of the best singles the Beatles ever released. Strawberry Fields and Penny Lane are arguably the best 45 ever released (Hey Jude/Revolution might be the only other one that could potentially challenge it). Hello Goodbye is one of the greatest pop songs ever. I am the Walrus simply fun. And all of the other little second rate classics (Your Mother Should Know, Baby You're a Rich Man, etc.) are better than most groups' first rate efforts.
