Free Music Notes for Past Masters, Vol. 2

Free Music Review: Brilliant Beatles
Hit: 5 Stars

This is a top Cd this and a definite fav of mine. From start to finish it is consistantly good.
This is one CD you should have in your collection.
For more than one reason. One is that you can listen to this album and not skip a song because its not good. You can listen to it the whole way through, only song which is bad is "You Know My Name". But this has alot of hits and is a quality CD.The songs sound as fresh as the day they were released.

Free Music Review: Try to see things my way.
Hit: 4 Stars

This is a collection of previously released Beatles recordings that didn't appear on any of their British albums. Most of the songs are non-LP singles. Most of the songs are great, but the two George Harrison b-sides are somewhat weak (by Beatles standards). My personal favorite Beatles' song is on here (the single version of "Revolution"). This CD is a must have for Beatles fans.

Free Music Review: Looking for Hey Jude (AKA Beatles Again) on CD?
Hit: 5 Stars

Well here it is, basically, with other songs as well on Past Masters Vol. 2. This collection is awesome Beatles music. It contains Hey Jude, Lady Madonna, Rain, Revolution, Old Brown Shoe, another version of Across the Universe, The Ballad of John and Yoko, Paperback Writer, Day Tripper and more!!

For the longest time I've always wanted them to put Hey Jude The Album on cd in stores and make it nice and convenient, well they did and I just didn't realize it, the whole album is contained on Past Masters Vol. 2! This was a great album to finally own. It was under my nose this whole time disguised as an awesome collection of songs called Past Masters Vol. 2, but you should know that name by now, but I shall mention it one last time...

Past Masters Vol. 2 contains the album Hey Jude (AKA Beatles Again) and more Beatles songs not contained on albums.

The Beatles are rock and roll legends!

Free Music Review: The Beatles: Past Masters Volume Two (1988)
Hit: 5 Stars

In June of 1988, The Beatles released their 28th album entitled, PAST MASTERS VOLUME TWO, the follow-up album to the incredible PAST MASTERS VOLUME ONE. This volume features more of The Beatles hits from the later days, where it continues to prove that The Beatles were still the best.

DAY TRIPPER
From the single release of DAY TRIPPER (1965). Not one of my favorites.

WE CAN WORK IT OUT
From the album YESTERDAY...AND TODAY (1966). Another one of their best songs.

PAPERBACK WRITER
From the single release of PAPERBACK WRITER (1965). Not bad.

RAIN
From the single release of RAIN (1965). Great.

LADY MADONNA
From the album HEY JUDE (THE BEATLES AGAIN) (1970). Great.

INNER LIGHT
From the single release of INNER LIGHT. Not bad.

HEY JUDE
From the single release of HEY JUDE (1968). Later included on the album HEY JUDE (THE BEATLES AGAIN) (1970). This is my second-favorite Beatles song, right behind "Back In The U.S.S.R.".

GET BACK
From the album LET IT BE (1970). Great song.

DON'T LET ME DOWN
From the album HEY JUDE (THE BEATLES AGAIN) (1970). Not bad.

THE BALLAD OF JOHN AND YOKO
From the album HEY JUDE (THE BEATLES AGAIN) (1970). Hate it because I hate Yoko (aka IT).

OLD BROWN SHOE
From the album HEY JUDE (THE BEATLES AGAIN) (1970). Not bad.

ACROSS THE UNIVERSE
From the album LET IT BE (1970). Great.

LET IT BE
From the album LET IT BE (1970). Great ballad.

YOU KNOW MY NAME (LOOK UP MY NUMBER)
From the single release of LET IT BE (1970). This song is actually the B-Side to the "Let It Be" single. Not a bad song.

This album more than proves that The Beatles were definitely the one band that made music possible for the future. All of the musical acts out there today would not have been even thought of if it weren't for The Beatles. This second batch of hits known as PAST MASTERS VOLUME TWO is just the ticket to having the second half of your favorite Beatles tunes.

Free Music Review: Attention: The Missing Beatles Songs Part 2
Hit: 5 Stars

Past Masters is a collection of Beatle's songs that were released on singles but not on albums, atleast a great bunch of the songs on this album atleast. Back in the day, Albums weren't that important and they released singles or LP's instead of Albums that sell alot more in todays mainstream music industry. "Hey Jude" was one of the biggest and most famous Beatles songs, but didn't appear on any album, here is your chance to get a hold on it. Lennon's great protest song "Revolution" (there were several versions of this song) "Ballad of John and Yoko" and "Lady Madonna" are also songs that are hard to find. "We Can Work it Out" sound a bit like the old Beatles, it's from 1965, the year Beatles switched from boyband to modern Rockers. "Day Tripper" probably got the coolest riff in rock history. "Paperback Writer" continues the great trend of the music around 1965 while "Rain" and "Inner Light" are more psychedelic. There are several songs from "Let It be" here and that isn't really that neccesary cause they are already available on that album. The only really bad song is the silly "You know My name" when they just joke around in the studio, I wouldn't even call it a song. Past Masters overall is a must have though, I know there were countless of simular collections given out, but this one gives a great run for the money and it included all of the good Beatles songs not on albums from 1965 and forward + some more. Get it.
