Free Music Notes for The Beatles: 1967-1970Free Music Review: THE CLOSEST THING TO A BEATLES LATER 'GREATEST HITS' ALBUM IS VERY WELL DONE THOUGH A TAD PRICEY Hit: 5 StarsSET OF 28 LATER HITS IN CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER: WHAT'S NOT TO LIKE,
FIRST THOUGHTS: I HAD THESE ON VINYL LPs & NOW I HAVE THEM AGAIN ON CD
IN A NUTSHELL: CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER - STEREO - LYRICS IN A BOOKLET
If you are a Beatles fan and you want to have their music on hand you have several options. You can either purchase each individual album on CD or Vinyl LP, or you can purchase the Red and Blue CD anthology collections. The CD here is the 'BLUE' CD anthology, which many people including myself believe is the better of the two. However, since these two collections do not overlap you will get the most benefit out of having both collections.
While it is true, that a few of the tunes are not in stereo, they collectively sound rather good for pop music recorded in the 1960s. While the sets may seem a bit pricey, they are a solid representation of the best Beatle's tunes presented in chronological order.
ONE ADVANTAGE OF THE CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER OF THE TUNES
By hearing the 'best tunes' in the order they were made one can get a feel for how the Beatles evolved and became over time, more complex and introspective in their musical interpretations [my opinion].
AND ABOUT THE BOOKLET?
In side the double-case, you will find a very useful booklet which includes all the lyrics for all 28 tunes included in the set, plus some interesting photos of the Beatles.

BOTTOM LINE: EXCELLENT PRODUCT - A LITTLE PRICEY BUT I BOUGHT BOTH THE RED AND BLUE ANTHOLOGIES AND LOVE BOTH
No repeats in the 'Blue' or 'Red' and the tunes especially in this the 'Blue' anthology are real hits. Combined this series is the closest thing to a "Beatles Greatest Hits" available.

Free Music Review: I get by with a little help from John, Paul, Ringo and George. Hit: 5 StarsWhat can I say that has not already been said? This album has some of the best songs EVER recorded. My personal favorites are "Let it Be," "Strawberry Fields Forever" and "Hey Jude" but just about every song on this "Blue" album is great. For whatever reason, whenever I feel bad I put these CDs in and by the end of disk 2 I feel better. I highly recommend this set to anyone with a love of good music.
Free Music Review: Get this for any person you know that is not a beatles fan. Hit: 5 StarsBecause let's face it, they are the greatest band of all time. Personally, I find it annoying when people disagree because you can't discredit their influence on rock n' roll. I received this album when I was 9 years old. I remember when I was very little I hated the beatles songs like Strawberry fields and such b/c I thought it was trash. However, when I received this album I was absolutely blown away. The album itself displays pure genious and doesn't miss anything in the process of giving great songs. If you give this album to anybody who isn't interested they will love it. If this is your first time considering listening to the beatles you have to get this because it is an essential for beginning fans - - a lot better than the 27 hit album. Indulge yourself and spend a few bucks.
Free Music Review: An amazing band Hit: 5 StarsI must admit i only recently got into these guys fully, but now i know what the hype was a bout.
Serously awesome.
10/10
Free Music Review: Classic Hits! Hit: 5 StarsWow this 2 cd set is just packed with classic songs. 36 years since the beatles first enterd a recording studio and the world still can't get enough of them! This package covers the final three years of the bands recording carrer, before they all went solo. Yes, all these classics were made in just 3 years.
This album is great, but one must also get the red album (1962-1966) to enjoy the beatles in full glory. Unless you are just looking for the odd track, get both. If you are on a budget and can't afford both, don't settle for just one, you'd be better off getting the Number Ones CD if that has the song(s) you want.
The Beatles were the most successful band of the 20th century, and with hit's like "Hey Jude", "Let It Be", "Get Back", "Penny Lane", "Something" and "Strawberry Fields" it's no wonder why!
