I'm sorry people, but I am only 18 years old the only historic Beatles momments I have been alive for are the deaths of John and George, but even though I am young this is a great album! If you like the earlier stuff so be it, but you have to take this time period as a classic there are some really good songs on here.Free Music Review: Great comp, but is missing a couple songs.

No compilation, especially not a Beatles compilation, is perfect. But this is one of the better collections on the market. Though Strawberry Fields is a filler song, the other selections are strong ones. You get classics such as Penny Lane, A Day in the Life, Get Back, Lady Madonna, While My Guitar Gently Weeps, Come Together and Let It Be.
However, it's impossible to make a perfect Beatles comp in two discs. Missing in action are Fixing a Hole, When I'm Sixty-Four, Savoy Truffle, Blackbird, You Never Give Me Your Money, Because, Rain, Dig a Pony and One After 909. But if you're new to the Beatles and have a lot of money, get this and the Red Album.
Ignore my comments on Strawberry Fields Forever - I have since seen the error my ways regarding that song, and now love it.

This albun is one I still have on black vinyl but it's too scratched to play. I ordered it and i was able to sit my car and sing Penny Lane, Strawberry Fields Forever and many other songs we all know the words to by heart. This is a feel good piece of our history and a fabulous dance back in time with music that is always popular.

The beatles are my favorite band and are the greatest band of all time and helpedto make rock bands more popular. I'll have to say I could not get into a whole lot of the red album stuff. I do not care very much for bubble gum rock. In 1967 the Beatles finally started sounding like real rock. I had to buy this because their are so many songs I love on here.
Hey Jude is one of the Beatles first long songs and it was very succesful. Let it be is a song you need to close your eyes to when you listen to it. Lady Madonna is a good song that Paul Mcartney sings. Revolution was the hardest rock and roll thing on this product. The opening of John Lennon screaming is really awesome and cool. Come together is like my second favorite song on there and I even like the Aerosmith version. The long and winding road is a good underated song. Hello, goodbye I am finally hearing on the radio. What can I say, they were the greatest band of all time and the biggest impact on rock bands. Buy it if you love great rock'n roll. God bless you and have a great day. God bless America.
