Free Music Notes for Bee Gees GreatestFree Music Review: bee gees greatest Hit: 5 Stars
This is the authentic Bee Gees compilation, look out ! only contains thmes from their better four seventies albums: Main Course, Children of the World, Saturday Night Fever y Spirits Having Flown. Also includes singles B sides like If I cant have you or Rest your love on me, one unreleased theme and some SNFever remixes. I can still recall when I got the original album in 1979, I was 12 years old or so, it was a double vinyl with a triple cover and their faces printed over every side cooky, really great, now the CD ain't so "romantic" but we've got the bonus tracks.
Maybe you can say: "bee gees are a girls band" not a bit of it! get the album: Here At Last, Bee Gees Live and you'll see...
My prefer kind of music is rock or progressive rock, bands like King Crimosn or AC/DC but Bee Gees ARE THE BEE GEES, songs like How deep is your love, Night Fever, Nights on Broadway, More than A Woman, simply unsurpassable.
New generations might have this album... Bee Gees forever! Robin, Barry and Maurice (Andy) wherever you were.
Free Music Review: Love So Right Hit: 5 Stars
I've been a fan of the Bee Gees since I was a kid and I'm happy to have this album. It is indeed a timepiece and decent music to listen to. It's beat and rhythm consists of dancing, falling in love, and just plain feeling relaxed.
Interestingly enough, I can also point out that the Bee Gees are one of a handful of singers and groups that I've heard nothing negative what so ever about their music. I mean their lyrics has never ever promoted profanity, violence, vulgarity, abortion, euthanasia, etc, etc. Personally, I think a lot of singers and songwriters can learn something from the Bee Gees, and their 100% pure musical background.
There is a downside to this as well, I regret to say. But there's people in general have stereotyped the Bee Gees for (to put it kindly) being not normal because of there unique high-pitched voices and/or their disco like attire. It's a unfair depiction towards the Bee Gees but, never the less, a complete misconception. People who dislike the Bee Gees for any lame reason should at least be willing to look into their hard work for the past several decade career span.
Thank you very much to the Bee Gees and may you rest in peace Maurice. You all contributed great music to your audience, and have all brought happy and cheerful thoughts to so many. May your music be more admired and cherished by many more. Anyone who has felt close and capitavated to this music certainly has a love so right. Peace.
Free Music Review: Classic Collection Remastered & Revamped! Hit: 5 Stars
This is only "some" of the Bee Gees hits, representing the best songs they recorded from 1975 to 1979. Big Hits before 1975 are ignored. There are nine #1 songs, half a dozen other top ten hits and some popular covered versions. Only four can truly be considered disco songs. A nice blend of dance numbers, ballads, B-Sides, "R & B" and occasional great album cuts; this is a wonderful collection. The only single to be ignored is the funky, "Boogie Child" (?), but all is forgiven. "Warm Ride" makes it debut here and is a remarkable song.
Special treats include the first released Bee Gees version of "(Our Love) Don't Throw It All Away" and the country flavored "Rest Your Love On Me", a Top 40 country hit.
This was the Bee Gees third #1 album in a row and is a great five year feat.
The new remixed versions of "Stayin' Alive", "Night Fever", "How Deep Is Your Love" and "If I Can't Have You" make this the ultimate collection of classic songs from the late seventies. The Bee Gees really did influence dance music during this period.
P.S. To the Amazon Editor: "Too Much Heaven" and "Love You Inside Out" were top singles and 'not bland'. Go wash your mouth out.
Free Music Review: This classic Bee Gees disco era hits package is finally given a proper remastering, with a few surprises thrown in!!! Hit: 5 Stars
Finally The Bee Gees "Greatest" album finally sounding the way it should, with crisp highs and thumping lows!!! This is the best these disco era classics have ever sounded!!! The original album with all of those disco classics(the country sounding "Rest Your Love On Me"(A much bigger hit for Conway Twitty that they wrote and put out as the B-side of "Too Much Heaven) has always seemed out of place to me,but its still a good song) is joined by some rare material including,a promo 12" Version of Stayin' Alive and their version of Warm Ride, which was originally a hit for Rare Earth that they wrote and recorded but never released, until now!!! Also 5 brand new remixes are added to the lineup,You Should Be Dancing,If I Can't Have You,Night Fever,How Deep Is Your Love, and Stayin' Alive, there cool, but not as good as the classic originals!!! Very Recommended, even if you own the original 2 CD package, this is a worthy upgrade!!! The sound is that good!!! The only beef I have is with the packaging, the CD's are a bit hard to get out of the holder and can get scratched quite easily!!! It's still a five star package!!! Two thumbs up!!! Way up!!! A+
Free Music Review: The Bee GEES at their creative zenith. The remastering is out of this 5 Stars
I bought this original Bee Gees Greatest Hits on a double LP album set in 1985. In 1986 I bought the first two cd set release of this greatest hits on RSO records cd. I will tell you the remastering on this cd makes this set worth buying again. Loud crisp, sound of these 1970s classics. The best I have ever heard them. The mixes are an extra treat that add more to this set. This Bee Gees Greatest Hits captures the Brothers Gibb at a zenith in their career that only a handful of music groups have approached or even come close to.
I thought this was just another Bee Gees greatest hits remaster of the same old songs, but after hearing the remastering of this greatest hits collection I'm glad I got this.
Even if you own older editions of this of this cd set, believe me, if you like the Bee Gees or disco you have to buy this Bee Gees Greatest Hits check out the images I posted for this Bee Gees Greatest Hits colllection.
