Free Music Notes for Best of Bee Gees

You know, it took me a while to even get the courage to listen to the Best of the Bee Gees. I had some bad family-related memories connected to this album, and I found out last week that my father did as well.
It turns out that, even though there's a few songs on here that have a REALLY strange atmosphere, I was able to rise above those bad memories that have been bothering me and appreciate a mighty fine collection of carefully written pop songs.
These are no ordinary pop songs either. Hearing this album from beginning to end almost feels like an eerie dream of some sorts, perhaps due to the fairly complex orchestration in the background, or maybe it's the combination of said orchestration with the clever pop songwriting of the bands distinctive style. I don't know for sure.
All I know is that these songs sound a LOT more serious than the majority of the Beatles and Rolling Stones songs I've heard. Imagine the atmosphere from the Stones "Play With Fire" taking place for over 35 minutes, and that's sort of what the Best of Bee Gees is like as far as highly unusual atmosphere and songwriting is concerned. Obviously the Stones and Bee Gees are much different bands in many other areas.
Whatever it is, these songs stay with you WELL after the album is over. You'll never forget a collection of pop songs this melodic and just incredibly *different* from the rest. I love it.
