Free Music Notes for Spirits Having FlownFree Music Review: The Fantastic Follow-Up of Saturday Night Fever Soundtrack! Hit: 5 Stars The Spirits Having Flown album is not only the last disco album of the Bee Gees, but one of the BEST ones too! Tragedy rised up to US #1 because of its strong and energetic music. Too Much Heaven also went to #1 because of its sweet melody. This song was later tributed to the UNICEF by the Bee Gees. Inside and Out went to #1 after those two did. THe other songs were just as sweet as the mentioned #1 hits.
Saturday Night Fever brought the Bee Gees to their height of their career, and they took this chance to write more songs. But they actually had some problems, because they already achieved 5 #1s in SNF, and if they produce another album that sucks, the public will reject them. But they trusted in themself, and believed that they can achieve more #1 hits, and succesfully, they did it! Great album!
Free Music Review: To "Muzac" guy from Grand Rapids Hit: 5 StarsHey, A review is actually supposed to be a short informative article and it helps if it is less opinionated rather than more. Perhaps you are confused. Many, if not most of us who are reading your rediculous input here like the Bee Gees and aren't really interested in the fact that you dont but might be interested in why you dont, if you told us in an inteligent manner. For example if you know something technical about production that caused this album not to work well I would be interesed in hearing this. A lot of people dont like disco but I think it is fun music. That statement alone however does not make this a review. So your rather meek ability with sarcasm as well does not constitute a review but something more akin to sticking your tounge out at people who have different opinions. Adults actually dont do this (you might want to keep that in mind)
Free Music Review: Spirits !! Hit: 5 StarsThis ablum is definitely great! Like Barry said, those songs such as"Too much heaven" had their spirits and gave me a peaceful feeling. Beside "Odessa", "Main Course" and "Saturday Night Fever", why don't we spend some money to listen those songs within this life?
Free Music Review: Great Way To End The 1970s! Hit: 5 StarsThe Bee Gees were still the hottest music group in 1979 (hard to believe it's been 25 years!) the "Saturday Night Fever" soundtrack stayed at #1 for six (WOW!) months, they knew that the follow-up will be a "pressure album". This is quite similar to the situation The Eagles ("Hotel California" to "The Long Run"), Fleetwood Mac ("Rumours" to "Tusk"), and Michael Jackson "Thriller" to "Bad") were having. For the record, the Bee Gees had three #1 hits including "Tragedy", the best song because of the beats and hooks. Of course, only a handful of albums have had three #1 hits so "Spirits Having Flown" remains an essential album. Also, I felt that "Living Together" should of been a single because it would have gone to #1 also in my opinion! I like the melody and construction of the song. Overall, I like this album and recommend it to all Bee Gees' fans. However, "Main Course" is still their best album.
Free Music Review: The Ultimate Album by the Bee Gees Hit: 5 StarsThis is the best Album ever created by the Bee Gees. I believe that they show their talent at the peak of their career. I have rated this as the number one Album of all music that I have in my collection of music. Some musicians have great songs but, there are very few that make everything they produce a number one hit. You can do no better than this Album for pure music delight. Unfortunately the Bee Gees did not go on to produce a hundred more Albums and if they had I would have them all!!!!!!!!!!
