These two cd's volumes 1 and 2, capture the best music of this genre. In the late fifties and early sixties, teenage girls formed a handful of groups which made some of the sweetest sounding songs ever put down. The Shangri La's "Leader of the Pack" is a two minute repetition of one of the oldest tales in the world, good girls falling for bad guys. The Dixie Cups "Chapel of Love" and "People Say" are as innocent today as thirty five years ago, and the Jaynesttes "Sally Go 'Round The Roses" is still as haunting today as back then.Good stuff.
