Free Music Review: the original and superb Hit: 5 Stars
Your review, spiderman, belongs elsewhere. And, Mr original copy boy, you need to travel outside your comfort zone a little more. The Big Blue is a French film and this is the soundtrack. Just as with La Femme Nikita, the US version was good but the French version was excellent. If you want to hear the (superb) soundtrack scored by the original composer that Besson chose for The Big Blue, then this is it. Conti's is good but that's for a different movie targeting a different audience.
Free Music Review: Best CD ever Hit: 5 Stars
It is too bad the movie had to be re-done for the American Public only (the end was not suited for the family values of America). The original version was much better. Apart from that, this CD is an excellent CD to relax after a long day @ work. It takes you to another place and if you have the chance to see the places that are in this movie. You will automatically plunge yourself into the depth of you soul. I recommend this CD to anyone who has a felling of sea adventurer.
Free Music Review: Stay with the original Hit: 5 Stars
First of all, someone have to be very mind-limited to prefer the american soundtrack over the french one. The original is just superior in all aspects; I mean , there is not even a point in discussing this. Besides, I've seen the american version of the film just to realize that not only the soundtrack, but the whole movie was completely ruined, specially the ending (that became ridiculous). Do yourself a favor and watch the movie as it was supposed to be seen.
Free Music Review: Simply perfect Hit: 5 Stars
This soundtrack ranks on top of my top five of the best soundtracks ever, along with Pulp Fiction, Trainspotting, Sound of Music, RHPS ... this one from French composer Eric Serra follows closely the scenes mood for this movie.
I've heard of an alternate soundtrack by Bill Conti for the US release of this movie (different ending) ... but for me there's only one, get the director's cut and the Eric Serra's soundtrack.
