Free Music Notes for The Big Lebowski: Original Motion Picture SoundtrackFree Music Review: Find Colvin, Creedence, (and Eagles) Elsewhere Hit: 4 Stars
Shawn Colvin's version of Viva Las Vegas, which seems to be the most difficult to find of the "missing" tracks, can be found on the 1995 Doc Pomus Tribute CD 'Till The Night Is Gone' - also somewhat difficult to find, but an excellent CD.
Free Music Review: Also Missing...... Hit: 4 Stars
How about the fact that "This Is a Man's World" by the Godfather of Funk, James Brown is missing too. Just like a movie is never like the book, a soundtrack is never like the movie.
Buy it anyway! Good to have.
Free Music Review: missing essential tracks Hit: 4 Stars
I can overlook the omission of 'the Creedence' and the Eagles (I hate the f@ckin' Eagles, man). However, this soundtrack cannot be considered complete without "Venice Beach League Playoffs 1987" or some classic Autobahn.
Free Music Review: Eclectic Mix from Big Lebowski Hit: 4 Stars
I was impressed by the range and mix of music in the Big Lebowski soundtrack. I have found myself drawn more and more to soundtrack albums versus single-artist albums in the last few years. This one is a keeper.
Free Music Review: The Dude abides...with adecent soundtrack to a great movie Hit: 4 Stars
The cohen brothers created a ball stompin movie And the soundtrack, as one viewing the movie see's it is essential, what we actually get is good, but there were too many great songs left on the floor.
