This is the Crowes best effort since their debut. Several personnel changes later, they are back to playing hard driving rock n' roll. Not a lot of stoner nonsense on this one, which is more than welcome. Would have considered a five star rating if not for the less than stellar production values - a bit more crispness in sound quality would have helped. These tunes should be even better live.
Good to see someone kick out basic R'R to give us much needed relief from the unyielding onslaught of divas, teeny boppers, flip-hop, and other so called "music" flooding our senses.
