Free Music Review: A great album
Hit: 4 Stars

If the lyrics actually meant anything, I'd have to give this album 5 stars. The music is bursting with feeling from the beginning of track one right until the closing piece. This is the peak of a band that really shows off their roots in Southern rock, R and B and other homegrown American styles. The only thing that baffles me is why they didn't let somebody else write the words for them.

Free Music Review: Like Rupaul, Beautiful but with Balls
Hit: 5 Stars

This album is brilliant. If I was on a desert island I would want a motorboat.

Free Music Review: Bluesy, soulful, hard rockin', raw throated singing, passionate
Hit: 4 Stars

I admit that when this CD first came out I was disappointed with it. I loved Shake Your Moneymaker and Southern Harmony had a different vibe. It took me awhile and repeated listening to see what a good collection of songs this is. I still like Moneymaker better but the songs on Harmony are more complex, more passionate and even bluesier and more soulful than their first release. The first 5 songs are outstanding, "Remedy" might be one of the best songs ever. The guitar work on Harmony is incredible. Rich Robinson doesn't get the credit he deserves, but then neither does the band as a whole. Southern Harmony rocks hard and has more soul than most bands can record in a career.

Free Music Review: Can't get enough
Hit: 5 Stars

I've had this CD handy since it's release. I never tire of it. So much raucous down home soul it gives me goose bumps. Gospel blues rock delivered passionately. I like the way David Letterman put it, "that's what I call 'turn the dump over and take the waitresses home kind of rock n roll'." These guys are the real deal.

All the soul of Stones/Faces/Allman Brothers with all the attitude of Guns 'N Roses.

Free Music Review: Essential CD***Desert Island Disc if ever there was one****
Hit: 5 Stars

As essential an album as has been released in the past 25 years. It is an understatement to classify this as a must have album. This is as good as any studio album the Allmans or Stones have ever released. The grooves are dripping with the fierceness of a band that is laying it all on the line. This is a raw slab of American rock n roll. The bonus tracks not listed here are Sting Me (slow) and 99Lbs...do not sleep on those, either. This is one of the Top 50 albums of Rock n Roll History...highest marks!!!!!
