Free Music Notes for WarpaintFree Music Review: THEY'RE BACK CROWES!!!! Hit: 5 Stars
I've seen Luther Dickinson playing the guitar/slide guitar with mister John Hiatt 2 years ago during the "Master of disaster" tour. When I heard that he was joining the Crows, I knew for sure that this could only mean 'progress'. Although the lyrics & music come from the Robinson bros.,I recognize the Crows as if they were in their early twenthies. Buy this CD only for 'Walk believer walk', 'Evergreen', 'God's got it'and you'll be the owner of a pearl full of southern R&B. This CD is already an "Evergreen".
Free Music Review: I'm a huge fan of Lions and By Your side, but... Hit: 5 Stars
Warpaint really does paint the picture of an old 70's hard rock release, with wonderful guitar tones, fantastic vocal harmonies, and perfect production. The songwriting is again in top form and at this rate I think we have alot to look forward to with the Robinson brothers and company. The Black Crowes really are the last great rock and roll band, fortunatly they are still young enough to hopefully influence new generations to keep the spirit of old blues rock alive.

Free Music Review: Best Crowes . . . yet Hit: 5 Stars
I'm a Crowe-head, and man, this is best I've heard them. I didn't know what to think at first, but after a few listens, focusing on the depth of it all and harmony -- man, it's fantastic. I thought the last couple live performances were their best too; I can't figure out how they can get ANY better, but sho' 'nuff. Warpaint makes me dance, sing, love, and join the jubilee. Peace to all the people.
Free Music Review: folksy band of brothers Hit: 5 Stars
Others have said it below, but I'll just reaffirm: the tone is in the right place, no weak spots, best Crowes jam affair since Amorica. They've quit worrying about album sales, turning back towards what works. One big positive is that they've got a second guitarist who is kicking in a strong Crowes vibe. They've got Gorman on the skins, and the rest falls into place. There's gold in them hills.
