Free Music Review: Absolutely Stunning!
Hit: 5 Stars

My son introduced me to the Black Keys. I didn't know young men were out there producing such stunning music! Being an aged rocker, I love the blues and rock&roll. I will be ever grateful for the introduction to this group - I'm totally hooked! The albums I have heard so far, are all so different. A new experience every time. Attack and Release is one of my favourites. It's like nothing I've ever heard before. Laid back bluesy rock. I play them on the way to work and back. Can't get enough. Every song on this album is fabulous. I esp. love All you Ever Wanted, So he Won't Break and Lies. Love the Bluegrass sound on Psychotic Girl! But love em all. Not one I don't like. These boys are gifted and hope they continue to make such stunning music.

Free Music Review: oh so excellent
Hit: 5 Stars

these guys are saving music now, this is the missing link between proper skill and creativity and raw individualistic behavior and not to mention tasteful electronica, in my opinion attack and release hasn't a flaw to any track, each one stands out with dimension distinction

their previous material is fundamental to their current work, you can hear however they've made leaps in progression, this is the most elegant of paths a modern band has ever paid today, when you get this music through listening and understanding, then you and music alike are enlightened and am too ready to proceed, thank the black keys!

Free Music Review: Wow....what more can I say?
Hit: 5 Stars

I've been a huge fan of the Black Keys for a long time, and I must say that they have yet to disappoint with any CD release, including Attack and Release. Although they do deviate from the "garage band" sound of just two dudes jamming, this album stays true to their blues-inspired music. If you are worried that this album will be nothing like the Black Keys that you know and love, don't. I was skeptical at first simply because it was produced by Danger Mouse, and was concerned that the blues roots would be lost. I had no need for my concern. In short, if you love the Black Keys, you should buy this album!

Free Music Review: Give me more Black Keys!
Hit: 5 Stars

It's no wonder movie makers, commercial ad companies, concert, radio and all other mix media venues seek this band out. They are really creative. GIVE ME MORE BLACK KEYS! Fearless and extremely talented . What a great mix. These guys are going to be around for many years to come and I look forward to their next project. Every time I listen to the songs on this CD, I "hear" something new. Don't listen to the CD expecting anything in particular....just sit back and let them take you for a ride. You won't be disappointed.
Good Job you guys.

Free Music Review: great new effort!
Hit: 5 Stars

I think this is a fantastic new direction for the Black Keys. I'm a huge fan of theirs, but the only knock I've ever had against them is that if you listen to a whole CD of theirs, the songs can kind of blend together. They definitely broke that mold with this one. They do a great job of changing the tempo and getting a great new sound on some songs, but they still show thru as awesome blues rockers on 'I Got Mine' and 'Remember When(Side B)'. Great effort. Hope to see them live soon if they come anywhere near me!
