Free Music Notes for Rubber Factory AlbumFree Music Review: Are these guys invcincible? Hit: 5 StarsI asked this question last night as I listened to "Rubber Factory" For the first time. The Black Keys use the framework of the blues without succumbing to its conventions. The result is the most vibrant rock and roll sound in the last 10 years. To me this album sounds like a mix of the soulful slightly more traditional blues of the first album and the dense heavy rock influence on the second album. They also throw in a few slow burning rock numbers in there. However the song that completely sold me on this record was "The Lengths". The Black Keys singing a ballad? What? I've got to tell you it's a great song and a testament to their versatility. Keep em comin boys, cause if "Rubber Factory" is a sign of things to come, then I can't wait to see what's next.
