I love this CD. You can tell with the selection of songs and how they are performed that The Blues Brothers concerts were really fun with a lot of energy! Ok so John Belushi doesn't have the greatest singing voice but he can carry a tune and doesn't attempt to go out of his range! Dan Akroyd's harmonica playing sounds great and is timed perfectly with the songs. My favorites on this album are Almost, I Don't Know, Soul Man, Flip, Flop, & Fly. I read one review that said the album only had two good songs on it! That is a mis-statement, all the songs are great. This is the album that got me looking further into blues music; artists like John Lee Hooker, Junior Wells, etc. Great album, a classic live album that I listen to a lot.Free Music Review: Briefcase Full of The Blues Brothers

If you're real serious about The Blues, this is not for you.
But if you have a sense of humor, and know anything about the original Saturday Night Live, this will give you a way out of these crazy times for 40 minutes, or so. Let yourself go and listen to these two crazy guys having fun with an amazing backup band.Briefcase Full of Blues

What everyone would secretely like to do. Make money and have a good time doing what you really want to do. You can not listen to this without smiling or tapping your foot or wanting to clap or dance. We lost a lot when John left us, but you can keep him and his spirit forever with this recording. I remember this on LP and my parent's used to listen to it. I didn't realize how cool my parents were until much later. This really took me back.
