Free Music Notes for Zoysia

Free Music Review: This years best album.
Hit: 5 Stars

Rockin' tunes and awesome guitar. I keep listening to this album, and it keeps getting better. Middle man is my favorite song, but that is probably because it is playing right now, the album has so many classics.

Free Music Review: This is ROCK - N - ROLL !!!!!
Hit: 5 Stars

I've been a Bottle Rocket fan for a long time. Zoysia, and the current line up of this band,to me,is THE VERY BEST YET!

Free Music Review: Me like Bottlerockets!!!
Hit: 5 Stars

Me like Bottlerockets. Too long since last album, Blue Sky, came out. If you want to treat yourself and have tired of listening to your Snoop Dogg catalog....here you go!

Free Music Review: Outstanding
Hit: 5 Stars

This album is really really really really good. I've got everything they've ever released, and this could very well be their best album yet. It's right up there with 24 Hours A Day and The Brooklyn Side, and that's no easy feat. Brian Henneman claims to have listened to Neil Young's Tonight's The Night for weeks before they went into the studio to record Zoysia, and it shows. Bruce Berry was a workin' man, and so are the Bottle Rockets!

Free Music Review: The crunching sound of summer
Hit: 5 Stars

WOW...that was the first thing that leapt out of my mouth when I heard the opening chords to Better Than Broken, the album opener. I didn't say a whole lot after that until the album had ended, with the wonderful jam on title track Zoysia. You see, it's hard to say much of anything with your blasted jaw on the floor.

This album really IS this good. The Bottle Rockets were always a great band and have a back catalogue to rival anyone from Festus to Fermanagh and back. Thing is, with this album they have a settled line up and a band confidence that just seeps through in the playing. This one record outstrips anything they have recorded and when you think of albums like Blue Sky, 24 Hours A Day and The Brooklyn Side that is mighty impressive.

The playing is spot on in every way and Brian Henneman's way around a lyric is an unbridled joy. It's been a long time since a lyric made me smile unprompted but Brian's do it, time after time.

Go and do yourself a huge favour and make this the soundtrack to your summer. You won't be disappointed.Real rock music for real people, soup to nuts a winner!
