Free Music Notes for The Boy from Oz (2003 Original Broadway Cast)

Free Music Review: AWESOME!!
Hit: 5 Stars

I have loved Hugh ever since I first heard Oklahoma in 1999. Being the theatre geek that I am, I could not wait to get the CD since I heard so many good things. I bought it today and it's great. I never realized how many songs I know by Peter Allen. I guess I never really payed that much attention before. The music is a little silly but it is still has great sound and great voices. If you like Hugh and Peter Allen, check it out!!

Free Music Review: Hugh Jackman Broadways Brightest Star!
Hit: 5 Stars

The Boy from Oz is a MUST SEE! It is officially one of my favorite shows of all time. I was skeptical of Jackman's ability to capture an audience during live theater, but my skepticism was instantly forgotten when he appeared in lights. From the get go, Jackman was captivating, entertaining, full of energy and A GREAT SINGER! I was simply amazed. This cast recording is only a pale reflection of the real show.

Free Music Review: Broadwy Glitz!
Hit: 5 Stars

Pure and wonderful Broadway score with all the flash and fury of the brilliant Hugh Jackman..the recording puts you in the house seats . The critics were in a lousy mood that night(sas they usually are),the auduenes won this round .I was lucky to see Peter Allen at Radio City Music Hall many years ago..his talent is for the audiences to enjoy his flamboyant style and great lyrics. Have fun with this one.

Free Music Review: Better on Broadway
Hit: 5 Stars

I actually saw this show and bought the recording when it was playing in Australia, but I must say that this particular Original Broadway Cast recording is much better in many respects. Hugh Jackman turns on a surprisingly wonderful performance, and the numbers just soar with a youthful vim and vigor. Not bad for an unknown foreign biographical show. Kudos for bringing it to the Great White Way.

Free Music Review: Fantastic!
Hit: 5 Stars

I saw this play on November 23, 2003. I was blown away. The entire cast was wonderful, but Hugh Jackman's performance left me breathless. It made me laugh and cry and laugh some more. It also tugged hard at my heart. "Once Before I Go," brought tears and thunderous applause from the audience.

If you possibly can - see this show. You won't be disappointed.
