Free Music Review: Okay album but the first two are better. Still, Boys rule!

Not many will have heard this album - and if you haven't heard of first-wave pop punk legends The Boys - then check out their first two albums: The Boys and Alternative Chartbusters.Boys Only, their lost proper album, is by a slim margin their worst. The song-writing isn't up to the standard of the last three albums. But, if you are a boys fan, power-pop fans then there are still some delights to be had. Lead-off track Weekend is sorta catchy pop. Wrong ARm of the Law is a kinda okay rocking track. Actually, the best track is a bonus track - Cool, which ranks with some of their best tracks.
But tracks like the slower tempo Poor Little Rich Girl are plain mediocrity. Monotomy is a good track but the vocals let it down - why wasn't the usual lead guy singing this one!!
