Free Music Review: Timeless Americana sonically cleaned up

This collection is worth every penny because these primitive recordings were remixed and cleaned up so the distortion isn't so noticeable. THe Carter boxed set by JSP Records (1927-1934) is littered with horrendous ripping distortion. Of course the sound quality isn't perfect and I don't mind a little noise on old recordings. This release by RCA does a great job of editing the guitars, autoharp, and voices so they still blend in their wonderful way even after 80 years.
