Free Music Review: Great Revival of the some of the past's greatest music

This collection of cd's is great! If you are a fan of the old, great music that came out of the hills from the simple folk, then you will really enjoy this collection. Hearing the great Jimmy Roger's voice on one of the cd's is a real treat. These sound great to be such old recordings. Some of the songs are a little scratchy but for the age on them, they are in great shape.Free Music Review: Fantastic Gift!

I have spent the past two year listening to every scrap of Carter Family music that I could find, and I was very excited to see this on Amazon. There are just so many songs! My only real complaint is that the sound quality is really bad. I realize that most of these were probably transferred from old records, but I have encountered other albums in the past where the sound quality was as crisp as a newly recorded song. I just feel like there was little effort put into the restoration of these tracks.
