Free Music Review: need to define their style

The "Cheetah Girls" can all sing well enough to carry off these catchy pop songs, but although their voices are generally strong and easy to listen to, they are not particularly distinctive (with the exception of Adrienne Bailon). In addition, for the overall vocalization styles of the four girls, especially Kiely and Adrienne, I felt that the album was too poppy; it should have had more R&B and hip-hop vibes. Certain songs tend to sound like failed attempts at genre-blending.
There are some good tracks, however; "Girl Power" is decent, and so is "Cheetah Sisters"--they're both melodic, catchy songs that at least attempt to send a good message. My favorite track is "Cinderella," not just because I am a Play fan, but also because I thought that of all the tracks on the album, "Cinderella" was the one that the Cheetah Girls truly made their own.
I heard that Raven will be releasing a solo album soon, and I'm looking forward to discovering what she'll come up with. She is still quite young, and her voice has potential, but she needs to find her own style, as do the Cheetah Girls if they are to have any staying power beyond this summer crush of a movie.

I love this Cd. I saw the movie and it was so cool and if you like singing it is perfect because all the songs are so bouncy and class. Cinderella has got to be the best. All of their songs show that they are strong indeentdant women who can make it on there own. PS Raven rocks in the movie.
