the most powerful stuff ive heard. in my opinion it is strong as the delta blues, it rock and rolls more than our rock and roll ((in most places)) on this cd.

if you like heavy Rock(60's-90). give this a listen with favoraite alchahol.i hope you the best nose bleed.

Free Music Review: "The man that ran looked a lot like me"(The Long Black Veil)
Hit: 5 Stars

Okay, I used to only listen to the first three songs, because "Have I told you lately that I loved you" was too boring for me. But, it's been a long time for me. I just found out that the first song was in Gaelic. I love Gaelic.

Free Music Review: A classic
Hit: 5 Stars

I have been a fan of the Chieftains for years, and each of their albums gives me a new reason to rejoice. This one, with the guest artists who were picked not just for their vocal abilities, but for their abilities to make their own personae felt in their song selections, is a particular delight. I particularly enjoyed Ry Cooder's cut, and hearing the Stones jammin' with the homeboys on Rocky Road to Dublin led to an even greater appreciation of the musical abilities of both groups. When I suggest a "starter" CD of Celtic music to those few of my acquaintance who have still not fallen under the spell, this is the one I recommend.

Free Music Review: the best Celtic CD ever
Hit: 5 Stars

I have long been a fan of the Chieftains, listening to The Bells of Dublin year round, but just hadn't bought this one. While I haven't heard Burl Ives sing the Long Black Veil, it seems as if it is a perfect song for Mick Jagger. One can almost envision him hanging in the town square after hearing it. This is a must buy for Celtic afficionados.
