What really makes this movie and its soundtrack great is the fact that the songs are both very high quality and (with a couple of exceptions) originally written just for this film. The fact that it includes three extra songs not heard in the movie only sweetens the deal even further.
Of course the famous tunes like "Off to See the World" and "Girls of Rock n Roll" are fan favorites, but there are plenty of lesser known gems here as well. "Weekend in France" is reminiscent of the early Chipmunk hits from the 50s and 60s that featured both Dave and the boys, and is a really nice little nod to the group's past. "Diamond Dolls" is also a good one that sometimes gets overlooked.
This disc is a must own for fans of the Chipmunks and this movie, young or old.
