Well, it literally doesn't get any better than this. 9 discs full of cool 60's instrumental tunes ("Green Onions" is just the tip of the iceberg) and vocal numbers from a diverse group of artists which helped give birth to the "soul" genre. It's a little closer to the earth and grittier than Motown's music was. The "Stax sound" comes through, clean and full and perfectly constructed. You won't go wrong in buying this; there's so much good music on this set, enough to make the set too good to be true.
